DIY TSB 22-2242

So I noticed my stupid little stickers had peeled back some luckily I didn’t get any water in the interior so I went to ford and picked up the little rubber plugs they made in that tsb was easy enough other than it’s real tight just threw some touch up paint on the bare metal I’m also thinking of using double sided tape to move the sticker to cover the top sticker as it also has started peeling when I peeled it back it’s like it’s a filled hole or something so not sure if anyone has has water leaking in from that top sticker but better safe than sorry. Strangely enough the passenger side stickers are all sealed good I’m gonna tear it off and perform the same as I’m sure eventually they’ll peel away as well. This is on 22 with 3500 miles.

Plug installed and middle sticker moved to cover top with vhb double sided tape turned out good

@GTP When I do the passenger side I’ll try to get a measurement as for the top hole its not open I don’t think a rubber plug will fit in there that’s why I took the middle sticker and put 3m tape under it and covered it. Someone on here has a link to that tsb if type it in on google it brings it up that’s how I got the part number to those little plugs seen some online ford parts selling them for like a 1.50 $ I got them local for 3 cause I didn’t wanna wait.

Ford part number is W718717-S300, four per pack and $2.75 each. Or 100-count from Amazon for one dollar more, lol.

The TSB specs 19mm (3/4"). My local Ace with its terrific selection of fasteners and parts like this did not have anything. Where did you source yours locally?

@GTP i went to my local dealership and showed them the tsb that part number you just put is the one on there i just double checked so if you give them that they should be able to look it up. they didn’t have it but checked stock and said another dealer had 4 in stock so I went there and they did have them.
