Not an exciting topic I know but thought I would share...
Well, it's a cumbersome piece of kit, fairly heavy and almost impossible to put on/take off without bashing something! Kinda like one of those games where you have to thread that metal loop around the curly wire without touching it and hearing the beep haha! Do it super slow and you may get lucky!
I've taken it off this morning and I can confirm it does dent the wheel as someone suggested. To be fair, it does actually say that in the leaflet that comes with it. Where the 2 metal halves come together and overlap, the edge of the metal that touches the wheel left a minor dent in the top of the wheel at the front (not the top as you may think). Hoping it'll spring back, but hasn't yet after an hour or so. If not, I guess I'll just have to buy a GT350 wheel
Worth noting that the inside is lined with felt stickers for protection, not that it's hugely effective!
I've ordered one of their stretchy wheel covers and i'll slip a couple of cheapo microfibre towels underneath it in key areas - by the hinge and the part that locks, just for extra padding. It's been suggested that rotating 90 degrees anti clockwise is a better position for reducing denting but personally I can't see how that would be the case. Will try it though.
Would I recommend it? Probably not. It's a pain in the ass to use & not something that you'll carry with you and just throw on when you like. I certainly won't be. For me however, it serves it's purpose.
