Yes I know there's been a million of these posts, however, found an easy way.

Hold "OK" button on left side of steering wheel. (Continue holding)

Push start button (continue holding OK button)

After about 5 seconds enters test mode.

Push down arrow 6 times. (Or up 17, your choice)

Only takes about 15 seconds total.

Accessing the diagnostic mode every time you start the engine can be a PITA, and you aren't able to use any of the other dash functions.

If you need the other functions instead of speed then hold ok for 5 sec and it goes back.

Just like bucking you seatbelt. If that's what you want to see you'll get used to it.

What else can be seen in "diagnostic mode"? Guess I need to go into it and see.

Hahahahaha yeah, I hear ya.

Not that I'm a fan of how it's set up, but it's not THAT hard to get to for those that really want to have it for a period of time.

Display checks, and some digital gauges for the mechs. Not too much.

Not sure about the mustang (haven't tried it yet), but in my truck it kills the speedo and tach while in this mode. Also, after you exit, the vehicle needs to be restarted to access again.

I used it when verifying tire calcs after installing my 37's, but haven't messed with it since. I will do the same when the wheels for my car come in.

Checked and for me, it's 1.5 MPH less than what regular speedometer shows.

When I had cruise set at 80 I was going 78.5 on digital speedometer. But didn't get a pic of that.
