Has anyone tried and successfully changed the firmware on their stock digital dash? Example being I have a 2019 digital dash from the factory. Has anyone tried changing the firmware to say the GT500 firmware? The dash has to be the same as far as the unit. I assume it’s just the software loaded to it. I know the gt350 and gt500 have some additional things to them.

The GT350? All the ones I've seen, including a fully-loaded 2019 where I bought my Bullitt, still had the analog gauges, and it was discontinued, so it's only the GT500 man. But going back to your question, changes in 2020 cars go much deeper than just a firmware, and I know that because the FORScan guy over the F-150 forum said Ford changed A LOT of the modules and electronics, to the point few old FORScan changes work on 2020 cars. If you want more info on that, go to the F150forum FORScan sticky thread. That guy (Livnitup) was working on GT500 FORScan codes, as a matter of fact, so he should be able to answer your question, and in technical terms. Hope this helps. Good luck.

There are no digital dashes for the GT350's some have bought the dashes and installed them but they only show 7500 rpm were the GT350 need at least 8250 rpm and some of the digital display functions do not work..

I’ll correct my post. Didn’t realize gt350 did not get the digital dash option. The GT500 digit dash would be cool if you can just upload the firmware for it

wish I knew how. The 160mph is modest for the GT especially when you start upgrading I feel.

Somebody said the Bullitt has 180 (since top speed is supposedly 163), but haven't even noticed on mine. Ha ha. Will check next time I use the car.

I'd never noticed either but just checked and it most certainly does have a 180mph speedo
