Hey guys....long time lurker first time poster.

I am having one heck of a time deciding on a color. I have been waiting for years to finally get a fun car again and that time is almost here. I was locked in on DIB then I keep seeing some of these Oxford's and they look pretty sick also. I will be getting the premium with the performance pack.

I have tried searching for some info from current owners for weeks to help me decide this but haven't found anything conclusive. I keep hearing that DIB is just as hard to keep clean as a black car but the white will show when it is dirty (currently own a white car). Really wish they were going to do a grabber blue.

So instead of asking for pros and cons of each color can ya'll tell me the things you love about your car colors?

Thanks for your input!

What you need to do is first see both of those colors in person, if you haven't done so already. Sometimes pictures can be very misleading!

I like both colors, DIB is unique and I like the OW all blacked out...Great combo!

I chose Race Red because it stands out a lot and it pops at you!

If I had to choose between DIB and OW...I would say DIB, but that's only based on pictures. I have yet to see one in person!

In my opinion, as I too was torn between OW, DIB, and Magnetic.. I went with the white because of three things. Contrast, accentuates the body lines, and it shows dirt, but is easy to clean.. The blue doesn't show body lines as well IMO. I think the color "washes" out the body lines FOR ME. I know everyone has opinions, but that is why I chose OW.

It's a color you need to live with everyday for the next few years......

Do you really need others opinions on whether to buy a blue or white one?

We have a white Prius and I drove a (light, not Magnetic shade) silver convertible for 13 years. I can say that neither of those colors shows the dirt. I love blue, so ordered it because of that. I would have much preferred a lighter metalic blue like my 1990 Bronco or the early 2000's BMW Z3 I had long ago. I had no idea the DIB (to me) shows even dust after a few days in the garage. And after one drive in the rain, it looks filthy. I like my cars to look OK when not washed weekly. I have usually washed my garage kept cars every say 4-5 weeks. YMMV.

The DIB is gorgeous when first washed! It is not a plus that I now feel I need to do extra work of covering it in the garage and hand washing after any rain storms. DIB is beautiful, but bottom line it is high maintenance IMHO on par with black.

If you are already used to washing your car weekly, then it as not as big a deal. It would have been hard to pick another color, but I applaud you looking into this before committing. Cleaning regimen/timing and level of 'clean looking' you are OK with is different with everyone.

After having dealer NOT wash my car upon delivery, then my clay barring, sealing, waxing my DIB, it will not go into an automatic car wash, at least for many years. ;) And I share the opinion that very dark colors do not show the lines as well in all light conditions like lighter colors. They do in bright sun looking from the sunny side of the car. From the shaded side, very nondescript, IMO.

My wife had to have the white for her Prius against my first choices. I have to say she was right! Especially with tinted windows the white is great and does not show the dirt (Except on black hatch window and spoiler ;))

My 2¢
PS. with 20/20 hindsight, I might have went with white or ingot silver being lazy about washing my daily driver, but hard to say. I am learning to be less lazy about pulling out the pressure washer, foam cannon etc.

If you are on the fence about which color you like the most, you can decide how the 'cleanliness factor' or 'how often you want to wash factors' feel for you. If you park it outside, or just in a carport, these factors might have more weight.

Good luck with your decision Dizzle! :)

I had a hard time choosing between DIB or a Race Red. In the PP especially, the RR looks like a race car! After seeing a dirty DIB and realizing it was on par with black for showing dirt I decided on ordering the RR. I still love DIB as my second favorite, however I was worried I would grow weary of it after a while and the slight purple tint was a tad off-putting. Just my opinion though! Looking forward to seeing RR in my garage!

OW with black emblems is really sharp. But if you already have a white car maybe it's time for a change.
