GM did the same thing with the c7. They didn't talk about numbers for quite a long time after the reveal. Helped stretch out the discussion and keep people interested. Was also very annoying for some so us. Wouldn't be surprised to see Ford follow a similar strategy, although I hope they give out some info.

I wouldn't put it past Chevy to re tune their 2014 Camaros for 5 hp above the Mustang to try to spoil the anniversary. They're currently sitting at 426 horsepower and 420 lb.-ft. of torque.
If the 15 Mustang comes in weighing less than the current model that extra five HP isn't going to help Chevy other than being a stat a sheet of paper.

One thing announced and it's not the specs...

Highly doubt it would be build/delivery dates. They are going to keep it "Fall 2014" for a while to give themselves some leeway.

It's probably too early for pricing and too late for tech (they would've done it at CES) so I will guess that this relates to the anniversary model. Perhaps show an anniversary edition, the new 50th badge, or if we're REALLY lucky some kind of 2014.5 limited run.

I'll be checking non stop to hear about this..... and hopefully they do release the power figures.

Jarstang, will you guys have coverage of the show here? Any details you can provide?

2015 Mustang Will Indeed Be At NAIAS...

There’s been some speculation that after Ford’s big multi-continent reveal of the all-new 2015 Mustang that the new pony car will not be seen in public again till the New York Auto Show in the spring. As you can see from the photos taken today at Cobo Hall while the big Detroit show is being set up, the new Mustang be on display. Not just on display, Ford is making a big deal out of the new car and the nameplate’s 50th anniversary. A 1965 Mustang will be on display along with at least one concept car that was part of the original Mustang’s gestation and Ford has set up a Mustang memorabilia shop where attendees to the public part of the NAIAS will be able to buy personalized Mustang mementos. The most obvious sign that the ’15 Mustang will be on display was a 2015 Mustang convertible already on a turntable, under a sheet of protective plastic. An empty turntable nearby will probably hold the coupe.

Of course, it was always going to be there. This appears to be a V6 or I4. Hopefully there's a GT on display also. I was kind of hoping for a few different colors too.

Yes we'll be there. We'll have plenty of pics, videos and info on Monday. Ford is hosting a "Mustang deep dive" that should be fun and informative.

Is that GUARD or another optical illusion??? :headbang:

I hope that's an optical illusion for magnetic. I was hoping guard would be darker than that.

This auto show is going to be very interesting, there are a lot of potential Mustang rivals in the low $30-40K range that will also be there. Just to name a few: Subaru will premiere the STI, BMW 2 series, VW Golf R, maybe the Audi S3. I know a lot of muscle car fans won't be cross shopping these cars, but I certainly am.

So the vert's a 4cyl (from the Sydney launch)...so the coupe will be a GT.
No, pictures show the car in Sydney was a GT, or at least badged as a GT. I don't know if Ford is rebadging the car or if it is a different car.

The Magnetic Convertible in Sydney was an Ecoboost.
In regards to the other car to be seen at NAIAS on Monday...it will be a coupe GT...
