Etis finally updated for me. Build date was 17/10/2016.
After all the waiting for this date, then delays:
factory closed for weather,
then closed for who knows what because of lower sales figures,
it's a bit of an anti-climax.
I'm sure I'll get that excited feeling again, closer to when the car is being delivered at the dealer. Not going to chase anything anymore.
It'll get here when it gets here.

Peace

Hi guys,

Is there any way for me to track what's going on with my car now that the ship has docked in Belgium?
I've heard a few different estimates of how long things take from this point.
I'm sending myself insane trying to predict when it'll turn up. Getting far too excited now!

The vessel tracking page will update to Delivered From : #date#

Mine was delivered to Zeebrugge on the 15th October and it updated on the 20th to Delivered from : 20 - 10 - 2016, I believe this means it's booked on the next ship out, which in my case is Saturday and in Southampton on Sunday. By hen it's dealer bashing time

Just Karen and Stacey mate, no real way other than guesstimating :eyebulge:. That's until it goes to Southampton where the settings change to delivered from - then it's booked on a boat to southampton (Aka on the following saturday, it'll be there, which means monday ur calling ur dealers asking them to prio it to their door)

Ordered on the 24 September and I've managed to get my order number and dealer number, will I be able to email the Ford team to give me a VIN or any info or is it still way to early?

Nowt wrong with being keen... but I'd say you're way too early at this time... probably February before you're likely to get a VIN (4-5 months from ordering)... Manders Mustang... you're the Guru on this stuff?

Edit: The wait's a PITA, but it gives you loads of time to save up, build up a pre-stock of bolt-on goodies, and gleen buckets of really useful information off this forum!

It's worth contacting them and giving them those details. First up they can check you are in the system (yep!) and secondly they will let you know later when you have a blend/build date. If you get a VIN after a month then you don't deserve your car and none of us will ever speak to you again :D

Good luck

That's a very valid point slowhand99 has brought up as there's many a Ford dealer been known to get the spec. (amongst other things) wrong - so as he says - no harm in checking and emailing them now!

My VIN took just under 5 months to arrive and then it was built one month later (would have been 3 weeks but they shut!)

How many times a day are you compelled to check for a window sticker. I swear the fricken number's imprinted in my memory for ever

For fooks sake I've had a VIN for over 2 weeks :headbonk:

I have found there's something about being able to recite my VIN without the need for any reference, which strangely makes people think I'm a bit weird...

It's 6 days until my car's supposed to be built but I still don't have a window sticker....

Nookie Are there many Mustangs in Jersey? Been there many times only ever seen a blue S197 which I spotted near the Nigel Mansell museum.

I had my VIN for a about 3-4 weeks before I got a Sticker and the lead time from sticker to build seems 6 days. I was initially in early Sept told a date of the 3rd Oct for build and it happened on the 20th (but a week delay owing to closure) so it will be up some time soon but a few days delay is common I think. Wont be long..........

yes I keep checking :D

Please check back later.
The window sticker has not yet been
released for this vehicle.

VIN was released 12/10 with a build date of 7/11 but I supposed this date is a guesstimate.

Yer right it won't be long ... :)
