And... no Mustang.

I asked them not to drill holes in the bumper.. they did. So, new bumper - they've offered me the car anyway and I said "no". I'd rather wait for it in one piece. Logistically getting it now, then taking it back and so on would just piss me off, so they're holding on to it.

Disappointing, but a couple of weeks wait after 8 months isn't going to ruin me... :/

Mine landed in Zeebrugge this morning... yaaaaaay!

Went to see my dealer last weekend to stipulate exactly the same thing... drill holes in my bumpers and you'll be fitting new ones! Communication between the sales floor, workshop and those who do the PDI seems to be as bad as it does with the customers at Ford.

Hopefully a just a few weeks away now, providing someone along the line doesn't f**k things up...

The rear bumper is drilled at the factory, so no - but I asked, maybe a dozen times not to do the front and the salesman was as annoyed as me (since he'd asked, it WAS left, then some smart idiot saw it and thought "Oh, they've not done that".)

Anyway, I hope parts aren't on long back order. I really want this experience to be a good one and I'm worried it won't be.

On the plus side... the dealer's mechanical and bodywork complex is less than 400 meters away 'as the crow flies' in the local trading estate, so I can stalk the car on a daily basis before pick-up!

So mine landed at the dealers on Monday pm. I went straight round after work and the mechanics had gone home and it was tucked up in the workshop so my sales guy let me in to have a first glance with it up on the ramp... :eyebulge::love:

Collection first thing tomorrow followed by a trip straight down to Modurstang! :headbang:

Excited much! :D

Shouldn't take more than 7 months to get a new bumper based on others' experience!

How did you find out that has left the factory? The updates on what is happening are as always awful. I have emailed three times to find out what the factory closure did to my build date (when will it be built) best I got back was "its in production" - I am not sure Karen and Stacey who are the only links, (and do a great job in helping) really know at times
