Until you get a blend date on a window sticker I wouldn't believe any other build dates!
Don't hold out hope on estimated dates, and I wouldn't rely on blend dates shown on the window sticker either... I had an estimated build date of 08/08 (per Karen/Stacey), which then slipped to 22/08 (per Karen/Stacey), which further to obtaining my VIN (Karen/Stacey) and window sticker (researchmaniacs.com) showed a 26/08 blend date, and which according to ETIS was built on 30/08.

ETIS has still not 'settled' some 17 days on, so either it's a very slow system to update, or my car is sitting in 'limbo' somewhere at the factory.

Does it all really matter in the grand scale of things... no, not really... but you can't help being impatient, and I'm finding the closer it gets to being here, the more I find the need to want to know where it is and what's happening with it!

Well it seems that the delay process has started. Today my dealer who is pro active has emailed me with a revised build date of the 10/10 not the 3/10 BUT he has informed me that I now have a VIN and it's on the ETIS system. OK not much on it, but the VIN exists which gives me some faith it has started the process and at least I can check without waiting for email responses.
My detailed list of the build process at least has another date on it!

My initial ETIS details on first receiving my VIN were as below (note the build date  ):

Primary Features
Build Date: 30.11.0002
Vehicle Line: Mustang
Engine: MOD 5.0L-4V DOHC SEFI NA
Transmission: 6 Speed Automatic Trans (6R80)

Minor Features
Flatrock Assembly Plant - USA
MOD 5.0L-4V DOHC SEFI NA
6 Speed Automatic Trans (6R80)
Mustang

That's some frickin delay if my car was built 2 years after Christ's birth!

Like I said... don't rely on any of the dates on anything that Ford produce, 'cos in typical Ford fashion... it can't be relied upon!

I've been given the 3rd October for a build date. Hopefully it doesn't slip too much. However I've resigned myself to picking the car up in January so it has 2017 on the paperwork (but obv will still be a 66-reg).

That was my initial date too, not sure if its just a catch all. Mine has now slipped to 10th Oct however there is now a VIN . If you are due the same time as me your dealer should have a VIN on his system. And YES it was my dealer who emailed me Saturday with the VIN not Karen / Stacey.

I need to email the dealer anyway as need a full set of mats, so will ask them then. Good idea!

At work the spectre of a spending month in Houston at the end of the year has been raised to oversee the installation of a fancy new system we are buying. Wife has told me not to worry, she can go and get the car. Errr.
