If i remember it was almost 2 years, was ordered early 2014 long before the Champ League event, still wasn't one of the first batches arriving.
I thought it was going to be me  should be quicker by about 6 months

Posting here as my wife is no longer interested in hearing me talking about my wait, the list of mods, ignoring her while reading forums or looking at photos.

I placed my order in Feb, and today got an estimated build date from Stacey of 3rd June 16 which she confirms will make it a MY17 car. I know the wait for delivery will be long and the nights will be drawing in by the time it arrives but now I can see the light at the end of the tunnel.

How bad is the wait from build to delivery on UK soil?

That build date is "interesting"; last year for MY16 they seemed to build the US MY16 cars first to satisfly immediate demand and then started on RHD builds in August. Your car is going to be one of the first MY17's built, either LHD or RHD!

And you can then tell all of us how much better Sync 3 is than 2....:headbonk:

@v8hgt for the wait between build to UK soil you can use the order process I've made and others in the forum have assisted in keeping up to date found here:
http://www.mustang6g.com/forums/showthread.php?t=45717

How bad... well.. It's torture, but, getting updates is better than nothing, being in the dark is the worst, use the girls at [email protected] they're a god-send, a lot of people went through the process completely dark, at least now we're getting a little more information.

As for 'Estimated build date' I hate to be the 'downer' on this, but, this is an estimate, and chances of it sticking to that, we'll never know. However, it looks more than likely it'll be around that time, Feb -> June (4 months), I was Aug -> Feb (c6months). I had a provisional build date of November originally (4 months), that's the reason for my skeptisism.

However, if you are built then, you'll be a very very very early adopter of the newer Sync 3, New colours (if you've opted for it) and, probably one of the first My17's in the UK (WOO!!!)

Once you get on the boat at Baltimore it becomes bearable. For me the wait between gate release and boat was the worst bit, of course having waited nearly 11 months by that point I was getting proficient at it... ;)
True. This is the worst bit.

Agreed if they hit that build date it should be the second day of MY17 builds! As you say normally you would expect domestic market cars early in MY17 and our export cars after the initial demand has been satisfied. A previous poster said his is scheduled for the day after mine so maybe ford decided to do a short RHD run first for a couple of days... I'm not going to argue.... They could send me a Lhd us car for all I care.

Anyone else from the infamous "30/11" build date crew think that 03/06 is the new version of this... Will ford ever learn? :O

*For those that don't know, most MY16's were put up for 30th November builds, but actually ended up being anywhere from November to March.

Then again, maybe Ford have pulled their fingers out :)!

I had a 15/11 build date and a VIN. They built it on the 11/1/16.
I claim the record for longest in possession of a disembodied VIN... :D

Surely there will be at least a month of LHD production before Rh?
I'd guess LHDs would be HUGE in production coming up to American summer-time, I'm not sure what the product lifecycle, or the buying trends are, but I'd assume coming to summer Americas will start getting pumped with cars...

Not long to find out if people with MY17's are going to be getting them quicktime, or, if we're going to be getting 'Incredibly Disappointed' again (not from me...!)

Manders maybe you'll have a better idea of when my car will arrive. Ordered 1st November 2015. Built 13th March and landed on Tulane into Zebrugge on 28th April. When do you expect it would be in the UK and with my dealer? My car is going on Monday so hopefully not too long! Thanks

Arrived in zeebrugge 28th april?

+3 weeks is my guess. Assuming you call your dealer when it's in Southampton and ask for it to be prioritised, tell them you're car-less and you need it etc.
21/05 Is my guess for pickup (But pickup date is up to you once its at dealers!)
