Yep, Torrie's customer service pretty much can't be improved upon. He hasn't heard from me in several days now, which is a record since I first bought his tunes. I bet he's glad!

SCT: Unless you are tracking your car or trying to set speed records I'd go with Torrie at unleashed. I've had his tune for 30k miles and no issues and it has plenty of power for the street. If you are going track your car and throw everything you can at it I would go with Lund or LMS.

COBB: Adam.

And the haters show up, as scheduled.

It would be nice to see them doing something more with a customer car and not another shop car.
I'll be that customers car soon ;)

Not sure why ppl are naming other tuners when the OP says he's about to get Cobb stage 3 kit, of which comes with an accessport. From my understanding Lund/Livernoise/Unleashed don't use the accessport at all. So therefore Tune+ is the way to go.

He said "he thinks he is about to" so he doesn't have it yet, therefore peoples comments are relevant.

I've been tuned since 2k miles and now at 15k. I use Access port that can store a lot more than 4 tunes and switch maps on the fly. I run e30, 93, and economy tune. The ability to data-log and also have extra gauges showing AFR, OAR, and Ignition corrections is a huge plus, and having a tuner that understands that datalogging is critical to a good tune is important to me. I've had 30+ tune revisions to go with my different fuel settings, and different bolt-ons. I've only had one spell of bad gas and how did I know oh yeah data-logging. But hey all of us Tune+ are nut riders according to a guy who drives a GT.

I've been in a car with bama, brew city boost, unleashed and Adam tuned. Adam and unleashed stand out because of their performance and customer service I like the way Adam tunes in the upper rpm range and the horsepower delivered up there (I'm talking stock turbo) I think he has the most value considering you get lifetime tunes which in the long run saves $. Torrie is awesome as well I love being in that car it feels different than mine but still fun but I believe you purchase 2 custom tunes for $150 or so and when you need more you just purchase the set or single tune again which can add up. I can't speak for livernois I've heard that their tune is a little more conservative but well refined according to other posts. Lund is huge in the GT community but for whatever reason that presence never transferred over here. And I have no idea who delicious tuning is but if you're willing to be the guinea pig go right ahead and post results for us but please don't be upset if the results when dynoing don't meet expectations.
1. Adam tune
2. Unleashed
3. Brew city boost
4. Bama - don't go this route lol

And then you also have to consider the hardware if that's a pet peeve for you hands down the accessport, which is what Adam uses, is the best tuning device I've ever used.

Ya the value lifetime tune from Tune+ makes you feel like you're getting the best out of every little mod you add without having to pay every single time. Just my opinion, I'm sure unleashed and others are great in their own way too.

I think most of the tuners do the same. I know Lund always looks at my logs for me when I change something, but he never really has to change the tune unless I do something drastic.

If it weren't for the thread title...you might have a point.

ive seen a ton of people on here mention adamtuned but havent seen any numbers on the type of increase in hp and tq they recieved (im sure im overlooking it)
You are.

upon my own research i came across delicous tuning which also has great reviews
A quick internet search pulls up some things about Delicious.

1.) It looks to be much like Tune+ in where one man acts as the tuner (Bill in this case) and everything he does falls under the umbrella of his company.

2.) West coast tuner with a lot of high profile cars and platforms, around 20 that I counted, to his resume. As a result he is spread a little thin so see number 3

3.) Many of the Subaru and FRS/BRZ guys who have used him seem to all mention communication as an huge ongoing problem with some other guys stating they waited as much as a couple of weeks for a custom tune. Constant back and forth on the promo threads with "Hey, I keep calling" or "Can you please respond to my e-mails?" Most of these posts were within the last year or two.

4.) The FRS/BRZ I do not believe he offers custom or e-tuning. They all look to be glorified, locked canned tunes to prevent the end-user from editing.

claim around 50 hp and 93 tq increase to the wheels. so what are your experiences and recomendations on these? what type of numbers can i expect?
Pretty standard numbers for tunes. Individual results will all vary.

Now my question would be, if the Mustang is a new platform for Delicious, just how much more stretched out will the company be with roughly 20 different platforms? The main tuner, Bill seems to be a very talented guy but you will not be a unique little snowflake. In fact, you will probably be a guinea pig so good luck with that, it might work out? If you throw a CEL, Adam can review a log or answer a question in a couple of hours or a day and that would be a LONG time for him.

I would also definitely inquire as to Delicious Tuning's custom or e-tuning procedures because just a quick side by side price comparison will make you almost laugh.

If I understand it correctly this guy offers off the shelf tunes for $300 and quotes 130/hr for custom 'service work' which I take it to be datalog revisions and whatnot. So his tune is SO good its almost at much as a brand new Accessport. Sure

For comparison, an off the shelf tune from Adam is $75. You want tunes for life? Cough up another $100 and you will still be at less than HALF of what it would take for you to get tuned at one single power level with Delicious Tuning.

Food for thought. I filled up with E30 and sent Adam a log one night. By the end of the week the car was on its third revision with two fantastic and finalized tunes for E30 and pump 93 switchable on the fly. I'm not sure but it might have taken thousands of dollars and probably years from the looks of it to get my car to this level of refinement with Delicious Tuning billing me like a downtown law firm.

In my opinion, the Mustang Ecoboost looks to be more money grab than love for the platform. In the end the lack of customer support and jacked up prices (Does anyone seriously believe that there is a tuner out there that is hundreds of dollars better at tuning this car than ANY of the popular tuners on this site.) You are not paying those jacked up prices because he is so good, you are paying that because his time is in such short supply.

In the end you might be stuck with a car that will probably never feel finished.

To the original poster, if you have any questions specifically feel free to reach out to me via email. [email protected]

I have retuned 2 Ecoboost Mustang's that were done by Delicous tuning. They are STRONG BRZ/FRS tuners, and the tuner is a great guy. However the Ford Ecoboost platform is not their strong suit so the experience needed isn't there.

When it comes to power numbers it can vastly range based on the setup, fuel quality in your area, and your climate. If you are in a humid/hot area you are going to experience the lower end of the power gain spectrum. Stock, these vehicles put out about 245whp/280wtq on the dyno I use. I have made 305whp/400wtq on 93oct on a bone stock AT Ecoboost Mustang. Granted when it is stock, with the stock intercooler you are only going to make that power through a single gear pull, then it will lose all power because the intercooler is heatsoaked.

There are some cars that can't even make more than 10-15whp over stock because their starting charge air temps with the stock intercooler are over 150°. Once you clip over 100°F charge air temp you are are going to start experiencing power reduction via timing. It's possible to eliminate this compensation in the ECU but I don't recommend it unless race gas is being used.

I have more customers running 11's than any other tuner on the market, which is really just a fact of numbers. I have tuned more vehicles, so the chances of having "more" of something is greater. Records, first to, times, and experience.

Yes I was on race gas. I have and still have the Wagner EVO 2 Intercooler, UPR catch cans, Catted downpipe with Solo exhaust. Turbosmart wastegate acutuator, Nitto NTO5R drag radials and Lunds Race Tune.
