Hello. I had USB drive plugged in and it played fine. The Sync System indexed it. (I had no idea that there was internal storage in the Sync System). Now I have re-order the USB drive and need to delete the existing index since it no long matches the new USB drive. I looked in the manual and it told me I would see a "Reset Index: option. I have not been able to find it. I'm not sure if I need to have the updated USB drive plugged in order for it to show me "Reset Index"

Any help is appreciated.

Sync will reindex it automatically after any changes are made to the source device (in this case, the thumbdrive). Just plug it in.

Although I only have a base model if it makes any difference, I can confirm it automatically re-indexes the new usb as soon as you insert to with no effort.

Yeah OP, no worries. I'm updating my USB drive and adding more tunes AGAIN as we speak. The system will automatically detect the changes - just don't expect to be able to give voice commands for awhile. It's going to rebuild the whole index and depending on your library, that will take time.

Will it delete the songs no longer on the source drive? I'm converting from m4a (apple) to mp3

It does not copy the songs, it just creates a database (index) of what is on the device. When the contents of the device change, the index is rebuilt to reflect the changes.
