Love the colour! I had a similar colour on an Evo X that I owned always used to get comments on how nice it looked(when it was clean!).

I have never been a fan of a convertible but these Mustangs look very nice as a vert'. Enjoy it mate, although its not really the weather to be topless!

I'm going to stick to the number plate holder, doesn't bother me. In fact, allowing for the HUGE bonnet & no front sensors, better tapping that than the paintwork (not that I plan to of course but what with many, many idiots in car parks that don't care etc..........)
Agree, having a buffer zone is no bad thing. I also think plates are meant to be flat and horizontal, technically, I'm not sure you're 'allowed' to have a bent plate.

Looks great. From Eastleigh I guess? Drove past there this afternoon. How were they with the handover etc? Any other issues apart from the sd card?
Correct... the hand over was very good; took me about 90 minutes in total but that included the private plate switcheroo, and they gave me new plates for the donor car at no charge.

Once the "sale" was concluded she handed me over to the "delivery" chap who spent about 20 minutes going through the controls / settings / etc. He did a good job but I was itching to get away!

I plumbed in my phone (no issues) and have played a little with the satnav. It came with half a tank of petrol; I intend to use standard 95 for the time being; once it is run in and I have a baseline for economy I intend to run a few tanks of 98/99/100 to see what affect it has.

First impressions - my goodness, it is a big bonnet isn't it? I seem to sit further back and more towards the middle of the car than in the C5, which is to be expected. The C5 is the same size so I don't expect any issues here, but it has replaced an MG TF which was significantly smaller!

The Auto is good; even in D you can flick the paddle and it will go into "manual mode" for a few seconds and then switch back to auto if you don't do anything else. I will take it for a top up to a full tank tonight to see what the lights are like, and I will drive it on a 150 mile round trip tomorrow - mostly motorway so I will need to vary the revs, so the "manual" override will be handy for that.

They have sold the black showroom car they had, and now have a TY EB manual ebony convertible on show, but it is a customer's sold car that he won't pick up until June; apparently he was happy to have it locked in the showroom - better than in the compound I guess.

Mine was the first Ruby Red they had delivered and I am really pleased with the colour - Race red was too "orangey" for me.

Dear god why? ÂŁ30k and every tyre-kicker within 80 miles will have been over/thru it.

Collected Ruby Red EB auto convertible with custom pack at lunchtime, and swapped my plat onto it as part of the process.

I asked them not to clean or prepare it - and they didn't to the extent that all the plastic bags and bits of paper were still in it, but I didn't mind. And the shipping cover was in the boot.

Still had the F4 SD nav card; they say that is the current one(!) Had 25 miles on the clock at collection, and since it was sunny I drove home with the roof down - not too windy!

Here are some pics:
Nice mate, very nice.
Enjoy.

Don't know how much difference it makes but the black one they had in the showroom was roped off so you shouldn't be able to sit in it.

It seems like the Mustang will be locked so only the exterior will be ruined  And as it is a TY convertible it will be closer to ÂŁ35k.

She told me he needs to wait until June for finance reasons - fair enough. Might cost him an extra ÂŁ1500 quid as the "three month time limit" on the price guarantee will have long run out!

Both doors are "roped off" and it is locked, so you can only look at it! It seems safe enough to me, and better than sitting out in the elements at the back of the car compound...

It was the first TY I has seen close up - it wasn't quite as "vivid" as I expected, but certainly not for the shy/retiring person... and I quite liked the standard black wheels; I am kind of thinking that the extra ÂŁ200 for the custom pack might not have been a good deal to get the nickel wheels.

It only got roped off once it was sold, apparently - my wife and I both sat in it and had a play a few weeks ago, but they wouldn't start it.

So it will. I'd be every bit as worried about the salesmen as the punters however.

They shouldn't leave the roof folded down all that time. You can get some irreversible creases.

Me too. If I want to change after I can but my car will never be without plates so a couple of hols in the plastic underneath are irrelevant.
