All for saving money but at the expensive of your decklid ... which to be honest is what most people are gonna see, its not worth cheapening the look of your car but trying to fill it, etc

To be fair. Depends how good of a job you can do at it. I'll see how I warm to the filler cap. Exhaust and the parts to be wrapped are high on my list. Things so minor like changing the decklid I probably won't look at until September or so, just to refresh the look again lol!

You don't get the filler cap on the Ecoboost. just the pony, which tbo will look not bad with a carbon wrap )

You do get the filler cap, only in the USA does the ecoboost get the running pony. Swapped mine out a few weeks ago.

Probably a far better picture than I could have got... Might just put this on my birthday presents list and get someone to get me it lol .

To be honest, i really like the tribar pony. Just might have to black it out

Good info guys, thanks. Probably one of the few things I'll be doing to the car, amazing how such a small thing can ruin a car! But as others have said seems a false economy messing around with the badge, better to just change the lid.

I have had the pony deck lid sitting in the garage since December from new takeoff along with GT Front grilles. Both will be the first things fitted to my Ecoboost convertible when it arrives at the beginning of May. Dealer has agreed to do the front grilles for me as I didn't fancy taking the bumper off myself!
