I'm changing my decklid over to a US style one this weekend. Any particular knack to disconnecting the reversing cam clip safely?

no particular knack its just a bit tricky especially when you holding the decklid yourself and in the colder weather the plastic is prob a bit more brittle .

As above - get from Nemesis. EDIT - can't see the plain deck lid on the website - you'll have to speak to them. It was by "MMD" I think and was about ÂŁ120, can't see it listed now.

I changed mine over myself and the hardest part (for me) was un-clipping the 4-5 clip tabs that hold in place - at the top. Pull too hard and, you'll bend the metal holes - ask me how I know!

20 min job with the right tools and a bit of patience. I think there will be plenty of vids online if you had a search.

get a set of plastic trim removal tools from Halfords or the like put tape along the edge of the boot where you need to prise off the decklid so you don't mark the boot lid as I said more fiddly than hard just take your time

Thanks both. I have some trim removal tools and masking tape so hopefully all will be OK!

I did mine recently. As said by others, plastic trim tools are necessary. The camera has a multi pin connector which just pinches off, then 2 x 5.5mm screws. I had to re-use the 4 x spring clips and the 4 x captive nut fastners. They are fiddly. I found it best to gently pry them out with a small screwdriver through the screw hole and rock them out.
Should only take 30 to 60 mins plus 1 x tea & 5 x jaffa cakes. :rain::rain::rain::rain::rain:

Easy to do,take your time and use masking tape around edges where you prise off decklid.Plastic lever kit is handy.The metal tabs may get left behind and you will have to re use them as the new decklid wont have them.

Search for “decklid” on the Nemesis site as that will show the back/pre order items. They do a blank after market lid and an OEM Ford Performance 2018 style. Got mine from them.
