Anyone else get fibres sticking on their decklid? I'm guessing its from the exhaust; sticking due to static. Had it with the stock exhaust, never with the Magnaflow, and now with the Borla.

Looks like it's the fibers from the exhaust, as the decklid gets 'static' from the reverse camera and they just tag onto it. Try some anti static spray

Never mind that, where did you get that tasty faux gas cap from?!

:like:
It's a genuine Scott Drake repro gas cap that I mounted on a 2018 Ford Racing blank decklid.

Nice.

So not specifically made for that application?

I considered doing something similar, but was worried I’d make a mess of it. I have however just ordered a Scott Drake fuel door for the actual fuel filler cap which is a nice alternative.

Back on topic, I’ve often had a lot of fibres sticking to the deck valance. Never really cosideeed where they come from and I wouldn’t have thought it would be the stock exhaust as that is purely chambered with now glass fibre or other packing. Interesting theory about the reversing cam causing static, but I expect it would get static from elsewhere anyway. An anti static spray might be a good remedy.
