I'm not crazy about the pattern on the dash trim and was going to vinyl wrap it in some red carbon fiber wrap I have laying around, but having some trouble removing it.

I don't want to use brute force and break it for fear of not being able to put it back on.

Anybody removed theirs? Does it require a ton of force or is there something I'm not seeing that needs removed first?

Are you removing the main panel with the AC vents?

If so have you removed the panel going down the side of the dash next to the glove box on the left side? If yes to all then all you are dealing with is clips at that point. The left side should come out easy but the blue clips that are in the center around the AC vents are a pain.

I actually started on the left side - the small one around the headlight controls. I was able to get the top two clips out, but the bottom edge was holding on for dear life.

I'll work on the right side and see if I can get that one out based on your instructions and come back to the left side.

I did this today, the left side (light switch) has one 7mm bolt at the very bottom. Once you take that out it comes off easily. It's the only bolt on all the silver trim. On the rest of the pieces I used plastic panel tools and some decent force. All four pieces took about 45min to get off taking my time.

You're a lifesaver. I thought there was something stopping me from pulling it off.

Here is the finished product.

Thanks! I thought about doing that, but really like the realistic look of this wrap. Plus...I already had a 6' x 4' roll of it from when I was going to do the hood of my previous car. Didn't want it to go to waste :)
