Damn, install too fast... No tune

Man, of all things. Dropped car off yesterday morning to mechanic for Whipple stage 2, headers, and ATI damper install. He called me tonight and said it's done tomorrow. Well I figured no way it would be done this week. Waiting for my tune that I ordered on Wed. Supposed to be sent today by I didn't get it yet. I'm gonna jump out of my skin if I have t wait until Monday cause of the tune......

I waited nearly a week to get my tune back.. I even had to rent a car for Monday. I hear you...

I was sent an email this morning saying I would have it today.....sick thing is I have the flare tool too. I may use it for now. Really don't feel like setting that all up though.

Keep in mind, even with the flare tool, you still have to request a tune. The flare tool is just a "transfer tool". It allows you to plug into the OBD, and transfer the tune file onto the car. The flare tool does not have a tune already on it. It's not that type of tool.

Damn, there goes that idea. Unless it is in the box. It got dropped off right to mechanic so I never seen it....Long story....How do you get the tune? email or on a disc in the box or something.

You have to email Whipple. I hate to provide any additional bad news... but it takes 24-48 hours to get the tune back :(

This conversation is over! hahahahahahaha. You actually just saved me time. Now I know not to even bother at this point. I can't even use someone elses startup tune (if they were willing to share) cause I think the numbers on the X4 have to match or something. I had to provide the serial off of mine to get the tune process moving. I am really hoping Ken is open tomorrow...........In the meantime I have 3 communions ans a christening this weekend! Somehow I know I will fit this in though.. :amen:
