Just wondering who here will be clocking up the km's straight off the bat in their new mustang or alternatively doing the I'll just take her out on weekends thing?
I'm tossing this up myself. The missus has her 96 Corolla which is our "around the town" car, and wondering whether I should keep it or use the Mustang, or leave the mustang in the garage for trips out of town only. I don't want to get rid of the Hilux as it's handy for a lot of things, but the missus doesn't like it all that much. If ford suddenly decide this is a failed experiment and don't make or import any more then I want it pristine obviously, but if it works and they come for years and years then it's obviously gotta be a daily driver , right?
to start with i'm looking at using it as a daily driver to replace my Holden SSZ ute, but once i have that i want to look at getting some form of daily driver like a mondeo or ranger, possibly even something like the everest or kuga, damn i wish they would bring the Raptor to aus.
Well I live in a small country town about 2-3 hours from the city, so the stang will be my "town" car when I go to Perth, have a Landy defender for around home town, work use, running dogs etc.
Mine will be a daily drive as well - I love this car and haven't driven anything else for the past 25 years (89 GT convertible followed by a 2001 Cobra (still have today)).
It'll be my weekend drive for me but will definitely take it for long road trips. Brisbane to Cairns or Melbourne.
It'll be nice to drive on Great Ocean Road.
Last time I was in GOR, I rented a small Hyundai hatch and I was struggling on 2nd gear!!!
