I find this to be very strange. My AC works like a freezer!

RMS550 and LordThunder both have problems. Both have an EB so perhaps something to do with that?!

Notes too has/had problems with the AC and also has an EB.
Me my EB seems to be fine so???

Mine has the same symptoms as yours and was diagnosed on Monday at my local dealer.

They have ordered and will replace a 'regelklep', whether thats in the engine compartment or in the interior im not so sure.

Did they order this without doing a refill first? I hope it's not in the interior, as the dash has to come off then.. at-least that's what ive been told by a few now. Keep us posted!

After the refill it's indeed like a freezer again, even at 25 degrees it's quite chilly in the car now.

It's not exclusively EB related, both GT & EB has it, I could gues it's the same airco in both versions.

Hey guys, i'm on 3700 km now and sometimes at low speed when braking I hear a sort of whining noise, like rubber on rubber, doesn't happen all the time and when it does it's only at low speeds. Any ideas on what could it be? I'm on vacation with it atm and I don't really want to spend time at a dealer. Plus I'm headed to Corfu and I'm not sure if there's a Ford dealer there.

Don't thinks so, John has a GT and had the same problem, I believe a year ago.

Brake whine? Happened a couple of times to me during the last year... just thought it was the brakes breaking in

I did 400km today in 34c heat and no aircon. Bloody awful, the 5.0 basically cooks you.

Got another 400km to do tomorrow, heading back to Urspelt with another car event

Indeed, there is not much air in the s550 cabin!

My airco is still doing fine after the refill, at-least for now... except the power button of the heat/airco section doesn't work all the time, only works again after I used the digital menu to turn it on/off... weird!

New rules and regulations in Norway today... We can import cars from the US and just slap Norwegian plates on'em with no mods... meaning red blinkers and stuff like that is suddenly legal... I guess for imports - and not mine :( (not that I think anyone would know )

Any news on your A/C fix already?

According to this thread it's an expensive thing to fix when you get out off warranty...
