Had a little chat with my dealer today when passing by. I showed him my driver seat (leather is already deteriorating after 7500km). He says it is not normal at all, took some pictures and will be contacting Ford, to hear what they have to say about it.

We also chatted about the hype of the Mustang. I thought sales where off the hook and I see other Mustangs on almost daily basis now, but he actually says sales are dropping drastically, he only sold 1 Mustang last August...
I'm actually happy about that, makes it a little more special on the road. :)

Also he confirms the GT350 is coming officially to Europe in 2017... Would be great...

I'd be very surprised if that last part is true. But yeah, the seat leather wears a lot more than it should, that's for sure.

But I agree with you, I see Mustangs everywhere now. I'm not even the only one in my neighborhood parking lot anymore, there's a Competition Orange parked really close to where I usually park, and I see a new one every few days that I haven't seen before.

+1

A neighbor in my town just received his Ruby Red a month ago and they will be more coming in the next month like said my Dealer.

$17,999 over the base price, now that sounds familiar

I never see Mustangs :D (unless they are 30+ years old ;))

Actually, there used to be a Race Red coupe at the nearest Ford dealer - but I haven't seen it in a while... then again, with our taxes you are not surprised :D

(and since every one is buying electrics now - they look at me like I'm Satan)

I doubt Ford'd go through all the red tape needed for a EU version of the 350 since it's a limited release... but maybe some outlier places like Abu Dhabi? (though I read there are already 350s there...)

Sigh my mustang is again in the garage after it broke down. Now my airconditioning had a leak and that leak made my entire heating module defect. The biggest thing is my garage contacted ford Belgium for the part and even they don't know if the part is in stock in Belgium. I really have a Monday morning car. If sales are stopping then I hope there is room for a new car for me

You've got the premium leather, right Nicolas05? When I want to get into the car, I gotta really squize in because of the small garage. So every time my ass is rubbing the sidewalls of the driver's seat real bad. I thought it would have been like you described yours is, but it's just fine so far. Maybe the extra plastic in the non premium leather seats is a good thing after all.

It's the premium indeed. But the problem aren't the sides, it's really in the middle of the bottom seat. I'll take a little picture tomorrow, so you can see what I mean

Never seen other Mustangs around here, neither in the past nor now, and will not see them in the future I bet.
The first guy with a race red is about 50+ km from here..

Where I live in Germany, you not only see the Euro Spec Mustangs, but you've got all the US Imports connected with the US military.

Here two pictures where you can see how the seat is looking.

Wow that looks really awful. But then again Ford Mustang leather has always been crap. This is exactly why I prefer cloth seats. My '95 has them and they still look fine today.

I have to say that the leather on my Recaros is holding up decently so far. You can see some wear of course but by far not as much as this. I'm at 21.000 km now.

If only Ford would finally stop shoving leather down people's throats the world would be a nicer place.
