Could you make both the shark gills and the regular AU drl work at the same time?
Quoting Loudz Creations

"Kind of hard to make them plug and play in that case with that DRL.
I'm taking a guess here but i can't see me being able to do anything other than park light plug and play connections from where i am"

As above

Jamie, great to see you taking this on. So a couple of questions.

1) The costs you provided - these for both headlights to be converted?
2) Do the new tri-bar LED's become the DRL - ie dim at night and go off when indicating to turn?
3) will (or can) the tri-bars replace the existing DRL lights or will the bottom DRL still be operational?
4) will you be offering just white LED's?
5) Will you be looking at LED sequential indicators for the tail lights?

thanks in advance.
Hey guys i have asked the questions to Loudz Creations

"The headlights will be plug and play as far as i'm aware. I can do all wiring inside the light itself

What part is the regular DRL? Can't see why i can't make both work at the same time

1- Costs are for both lights at this stage. May increase but not sure yet
2- New tribars work the same way as the factory lights. To make them plug and play, they may need to be wired to park lights though. Still need to work that out for AUS models
3-Tribars should be able to work on their own or with the DRL as well if wanted
4-If i can't find a kit for just white, i can make a custom kit no worries at all
5-Already looked at the sequential indicators. I can make them no worries at all as soon as i have a vehicle in my possession"

Awesome looks like we are close to a full solution! Looking forward to seeing someone try. I don't want to be the Guinea pig and my car isn't here yet, but I am defintiely interested in this.

"So at this stage you are looking at:
$210 for the RGBW option. That is the colour changing DRLS with the true white LED and remote included
$310 for RGBWA option. That is the colour changing DRLS with the true white LED, with amber LED sequential indicators and remote included
Thanks,
Jamie"
Diode Dynamics has been working on a new DRL board for Europe/Australian mustangs with a brighter white more suited to use as DRL's than their current colour changing models. The new DRL will be made without the colour changing option. See below

We will be releasing a DRL LED board replacement specifically for DRL use, white/amber only.

Our engineering team has several ongoing projects at the moment, but we will post more details when the product becomes available
Thank you,
Nick C.
Have Diode Dynamics advised you of the Eu/Au model in development? The last update from DD was on 25th February 2016

I've managed to find an adaptor which turns our tail lights into sequential. A friend of mine found it in a China market and it works but I won't be able to get anymore. It blinks fast but it's the best thing we have for now
i've bought sequential adaptor from china 3 months ago ,i waiting for my car to arrive in two weeks , i will post the result here

This is at the bottom front of the light glue a fish plate in after you have araldited the DRL boards on to the tabs. Araldited a perspex fish plate back under the cut out then re glue the cutout piece back in and then plastic weld the edges back which completely seals the light. Clean up the plastic weld with a blade and clean with ABS cleaner.Once again this is underneath so you can not see the cut out And you do not have to bake the light to pull it apart.
Banditvox do you still have the US headlight?
I have a set of OEM leds on the way from the US and would love to have a look inside one so I know for sure I am cutting it in the right place. If you are done with it I would be interested in acquiring it from you.

I will be stuffed if I can get that damn mention function to work. Type in user name then highlight it and click on the eyeball icon and it puts mention in brackets either side of the user name, but then when I submit, it disappears, any clues anyone?????

According to the rules it has to blink yellow colour unless the car is older than 1968 or 1978 or something... It doesn't say anything about the other lights when indicating, so I think this would be ok - it's kind of a grey zone

A friend got it for me in a market in china somewhere, easy as to install, you just unplug the lights plug in the adaptor and then plug in the lights again.

As for the legalities, I'm not fussed for now, its easy enough to remove but as mentioned its still flashing orange

Our laws dont have an issue with sequential indicators as such, but the issue is that the brake lights must not go out when they are sequencing....that is why these will be illegal. An example is some of the latest Audi's that have sequential indicators...perfectly legal because they are separate from the brake lights.

I'm concerned about the brake lights not the sequential aspect.

It's s bit of a "Tin of worms" IMO, as far as I can see brake lighting will be affected.

I don't want roadworthy or insurance issues for illegal tail lights.

I guess at the end of the day even with that brake light off for a split second you still have 2 other brake lights on which is all that's required legally - as you can see very grey area!
