This is at the bottom front of the light glue a fish plate in after you have araldited the DRL boards on to the tabs. Araldited a perspex fish plate back under the cut out then re glue the cutout piece back in and then plastic.
Hi Banditvox, Did you have to remove the 3 reflectors we get in leu of the tri bar DRL's?

I'd be keen for the DRLs but not interested in the cutting of lights and messing around that has to happen. I haven't seen an option that doesn't do this. Perhaps one day they will just add them from factory or give us the ability to plug in US lights

Hi everyone,

Jamie from Loudz Creations in Adelaide here. Have had several members contact me regarding custom work done to these models so i figure i should sign up. I have been aware of the issues with these models for a while now but truth be told, i just have not had time to look into it. Completely flat out with bookings from all around Australia, which is only a good thing!

Now i am talking to Diode Dynamics and a few other USA suppliers about parts for these models. Still waiting on replies until i can work out final pricing. I do headlights with these kind of sealants quite often so i have a pretty good idea what to expect. I only provide quality work and use only the best parts. My reputation and reviews are what keeps my business going.

Check out my page on Facebook as well as Youtube channel: Loudz Creations

Will get back to you soon with firm pricing and find out who is first. I am flat out but going to try and fit someone in :)

Thanks!
Jamie

I don't want to be first but I'll definitely be third or fourth lol. Looking forward to hearing more! Finally we might have someone willing to do this job for us. There is a whole market here you can take.

Hey guys got this back from Loudz Creations

"Okay i am confirmed as a Diode Dynamics distributor now. Not a lot i can do on the price as the exchange rate and the shipping kills it. I can at least offer free shipping for the modules to me as well as the headlights back to you once they are complete.

So at this stage you are looking at:

$210 for the RGBW option. That is the colour changing DRLS with the true white LED and remote included
$310 for RGBWA option. That is the colour changing DRLS with the true white LED, with amber LED sequential indicators and remote included

The price i am setting for supply and install of these is $800 supplied and fitted for the RGBW option and $900 supplied and fitted for the RGBWA option. Given the amount of work required and the cost of the parts used, i consider this a fair price. It could be less after i do my first set but i won't know until then to confirm. Also remember it includes free postage back to you once they are complete.

Thanks,
Jamie"

Awesome! So all up going to cost around $1000 if you need to send your headlights to him. Now I'm unsure how hard it is going to be remove them and then to connect them back in afterwards? At least we finally have a local option. A lot cheaper than sending them to Poland which is the only option currently.

Oh and also +1 for our DRLs working at the same time if that is legal?

Jamie, great to see you taking this on. So a couple of questions.

1) The costs you provided - these for both headlights to be converted?
2) Do the new tri-bar LED's become the DRL - ie dim at night and go off when indicating to turn?
3) will (or can) the tri-bars replace the existing DRL lights or will the bottom DRL still be operational?
4) will you be offering just white LED's?
5) Will you be looking at LED sequential indicators for the tail lights?

thanks in advance.

I've managed to find an adaptor which turns our tail lights into sequential. A friend of mine found it in a China market and it works but I won't be able to get anymore. It blinks fast but it's the best thing we have for now

Sorry but i might be missing something here, wouldn't the US one already have the LED DRL in place?
yeah but about $1800 for a pair of lights!

Hyperblinking is easily fixed with resistors.
Well it sequencers as fast as the indicator blinks. its not perfect like the states but is reasonably close
