I also sealed the outside edges with rtv. Price on the rtv I used is a little expensive ($50) but it works great.
For those that don't know:

RTV Silicone (room temperature vulcanization silicone) is a type of silicone rubber made from a two-component system (base plus curative; A+B) available in a hardness range of very soft to medium - usually from 15 Shore A to 40 Shore.

Damn, I was wrong again. The lights look fine to me. Bright enough to shine thru the paint. Good Luck with the cops.

I think i'm creeping up on 6 months with this done and I've had zero condensation. I wash my car once a week with a pressure washer and we're in the monsoon season here. Zero issues.

especially in California........
Believe it or not they don't mess with muscle cars much in my area. As long as you are not being stupid and unsafe. They have more important things to worry about.

Fucking dope! The output is perfect in day time and will see what happens at night.
That is awesome!! Goes with your car so well! Nicely done...

I'm like most here - think it looks cool but too scared to open those things up!

Looks bad ass!

Almost everyone in California has Blue HID lights in their cars, cops don't even bother. I had blue license plate leds on my Altima a while back for 2 years straight, never had a problem.

It all depends on the area, whether or not the cop wants to be a dick, if you come off as a douche, and the mod itself. Forward facing red lights is a big no no from the cops I've talked to. There are some idiots on the road that would get confused lol. I think these look great but wouldn't have put red lights in the housing personally. I just think its too much but that's subjective. I've had my fair share of law enforcement harass me over petty modifications to even want to risk it any more. I have 25% tint and I am legitimately worried about the cops making me take it off when I get back to PA.

Yeah, it's more of an "add-on" item when they're writing you a ticket for something else. Still don't want to give em another excuse to pull me over.
I wonder if there's a selectable multi-color LED set-up out there that work for our DRL's?

There is

Yeah... Red is a big no no out here. Probably worth looking in to trying to wire them to a switch, It's not mandatory in the united states to have day time running lights like it is in other countries so it's safer to go without until you want to show them off.
