Photos of the build and body work progressing are a few posts down, currently fitting body work.

Hey guys, someone busted a U-Turn infront of me and my car needs front end repairs.

Originally I was thinking about doing this hood and bumper
Cervinis GT500 Style Hood
777 GT500 Style Bumper

After looking around though I’m thinking aboutgoing with this complete front GT500 wide body conversion kit.
I5 Autohaus GT500 Front End Conversion Kit
I’m having the Auto Body shop I dropped it off at do the work and painting.

Almost everything the kit replaces was damaged in the incident, so it works out for me. The car also needs a new radiator and turbo intercooler. I’m looking at the ones from Mishimoto, does anyone have experience with those and does anyone know if the GT/GT350 size one would fit with the Mishimoto intercooler as well? Would rather have that one than the smaller Ecoboost option.

Hey guys, so update, I’ve just spoken with my insurance and auto body and I think this entire front end wide body GT500 conversion kit is the way I’m going to go. If anyone has any feedback or suggestions please let me know, I’ve already reached out to I5 Autohaus and they can have the kit delivered this week.

maybe get a part-time job if insurance doesn't cover labor after the $6930. parts bill? 😬
Lmfao, the shop here tried charging me $9K for the install ha ha, ridiculous.
Got a specialty shop in SoCal who’s gonna do the work now and get me out the door with parts, labor and paint for well under $10K.

Since no one here seems to have any input at all regarding this kind of build, I’ll just post updates and my experience here in case anyone else decides to go this path with their Mustang and hopefully my experience can be of use and helpful.

Hey just an update on what’s going on.
Drove the Mustang from NorCal to I5 Autohaus in Santa Ana SoCal, about an 8hr drive. I strapped the hood down and zip tied anything that could get caught or move and I left around 9pm to avoid being seen driving with a messed up front end 😂

Met with the owner of I5 Autohaus at the shop, very nice college student who mainly ships parts but has a solid setup for working on cars at his shop. Saw his body work on his cars and the setup and I was sold. Getting the entire GT500 front end and entire body styling done. Everything has been smooth so far and I will update as things progress.

Car’s being finished this coming weekend, entire front end conversion. Then I’m adding side skirts, black painted mirrors, rear valance, spoiler, entire GT500 spec body

Though BIG update, is I ended up pulling the entire interior of a Shelby Super Snake apart down to bare metal and am doing an entire official Shelby interior swap. All low mileage and like new out of a totaled car. Just crappy garage photos I just took for personal reference, didn’t plan to post these 😂

Nicely done. Looks like a lot of work but I love the look of that widebody kit. Just a crazy price tag. Glad insurance is covering it. Keep us posted on how the build is going.

Does anyone have any experience or know where I can find more about swapping this main big dash piece? It’s got more accent stitching and soft touch, as well as doesn’t require cutting to fit the PP guages.

I’m already replacing almost every panel in the car with the Shelby parts, so it’ll be taken apart for the most part, just not sure how crazy this specific piece is.

Anyone use sound deadening material before? Maybe I should use some of that while the car’s torn apart 🤔

Crazy conversion, wide body front end conversion is going to be nuts. Seems like you're really getting your value out of insurance. Glad you're updating this thread and will be looking forward to the end product.

Update: will be finished Tuesday, kit being fitted now and mirror caps being painted black for more authentic Shelby look.

Oh my god, that looks amazing! Does the new radiator support lower the front hood line bumper like the original gt500?
Also looks like the fenders sit about an inch wider than stock?
