Does anyone know if it's possible to install custom gauges in the PP gauge cutouts?

I was thinking about a couple of ideas to add a real (not inferred) oil temp and/or pressure gauge, possibly some other gauge, and I'm not sure I like the options we have for gauge pods. I really only see A-pillar pods and from pictures it looks like they stick out pretty far given the thick A-pillar design.

So I started looking at the PP gauge cutouts, and it looks like the gauges are standard 2 1/16" / 52mm. I did some searching, but couldn't find any examples of anyone swapping them out for custom non-OEM gauges. I know the GT350 set is plug and play, but I'm interested in analog gauges. Does anyone know if this is possible, or if there are other gauge pod designs that are preferably discreet?

I've thought about that too. I'd like an accurate boost guage.
