I have the owner of my local muffler shop do literally everything involving exhaust work. I'm thinking about having him fab me a custom catless DP for me. Thoughts on this?

Also when going catless am I going to be throwing engine codes?

Yes you will throw a code unless it is tuned. Also for as cheap as a woodbine motorsports catless downpipe is, why pay for custom work?

He's a personal friend of mine so he gives me good deals on everything he works on of mine. I like giving him business. But if it's not a smart idea I won't do it lol. But as long as I get it tuned it will shut the code off? And by tune do you mean dyno tuned or a stock map off like an ap for instance?

You would need to buy a access port and then have a tuner tune it for catless. I had mine done by Adam at MAPerformance

No, they won't need the car. Any of the tuners can make a change to the tune real quick that will shut off the rear O2 sensor. Or you could even buy the AP and Accessport Race and do it yourself.
