Hi guys. I sometimes move my left or right mirror down when backing into a spot. Afterwards, I hit my preset memory to get the mirrors back to their normal position. But I've noticed when I do this, the other mirror that wasn't adjusted by me, starts moving up or down and pops, then goes back to it's normal position. It happened to me again today. Do I need to reset the mirrors somehow? Any advice would help.

I was not able to open the thread. What did the Ford Dealer do to fix the problem?

Yeah, that link is corrupted man; it takes you to a crap site, not to the thread that is supposedly linked. So please tell us what exactly your dealer did to your car. Thx.

This has happened twice to my 2019 Bullitt already. It started when I replaced the battery. I was checking if my memories were retained, and the left mirror started bouncing off the top adjustment until I stopped it. The second time was the right mirror, and just like the OP described: it just popped once, and got back to position. This was when I moved the seat forward to climb at the back, and then hit the same memory button (#1) to set it back to position.

Read it was an issue with the IPC module on older cars (2015s, and 2016s, I think). But mine is freaking 2019. It hasn't happened again... but I haven't used the memory buttons either. If it happens again, I'll try resetting the IPC module with FORScan, and see if that fixes it.

I personally don't think it's the motor, when the motor is clearly working... unless it bangs so long that it gets damaged. It has to be a firmware and/or door module issue, which is what tells the motor where to move, and how much.

Well, they had to reset the door module after replacing the motor. That could have fixed it :). The 2015 and 2016 cars had known mirror motor issues. I don't think mine is, but it's always possible. All I know is there's no way I'd take my car to a dealer just for that:devil:. If a mirror acts up again, I'd reset the modules first. And if it happens again, I'd just live with it, since I rarely use the memory buttons anyway. And if the motor eventually craps out, I'd just replace it myself :). Glad your issue was fixed though.

SSM 49217 may offer some help - if vehicle is still under warranty (3/36), take it to Ford and tell them to review the SSM:

Good to know it's the software... although you'd think it takes less than 6 freaking years to find that out. Geez. Oh well. I reset the DDM and hasn't happened again. Any way to reprogram that module ourselves? Thx.
