Crank relearn with locked ngauge?

Purchased a lund ngauge used which is married, was going to lund tune my car after a clutch/flywheel install but changed my mind as iv decided to go turbo next season and no point getting a n/a tune. My cars throwing codes after driving for a bit and needs a relearn. My question is can a married ngauge do a relearn on another car or only the car it's locked to? I have the unlock file from lund but not sure if that fully unlocks it without purchasing a tune

I believe that the locked/unlocked function only applies to the ability to flash a calibration. From my recollection, everything else still functions as it should. Only way to know for sure is to give it a try.
