Hello all, thanks in advance for any guidance.

I was getting the hot low idle stumble and went to replace the VVT solenoids and found this odd damage to the buttons on the cam phasers, looks fresh and the solenoids had no damage on the pins. The pics are both the intake and exhaust on the driver's side. Anyone know WTF this is and if just the button in the center can be replaced-it looks to be retained by a snap ring.

Any recommendations for a solid coyote mechanic in the NW Houston area is also appreciated.

Any no start or cranking issues after the engine is warm?

That doesn't look good. I'd be obsessing over where the missing bits went...
