After 15 months I'm thrilled my car has no dings or dents - Xpel coating was a great idea. But recently noticed two issues:

1. Trunklid deck panel shiny black plastic - has a few very fine scratches plus numerous swirls. What's the best way to polish them out?

2. Driving down the road last week guys were weed whacking in the median, and sure enough a small stone got launched and hit my windshield. There is now a tiny nick. Any way to fill it in?

Thanks!

1. My Detailing Guy used Jewelers Polish on that panel. The panel is such a pain in the ass. I dunno what Ford was thinking. Basically it’s designed to drive owners insane.

2. Get the windshield problem taken care of asap by a repair specialist before a crack starts to run.

The tiny nick in the glass is probably going to stay. Doesn't sound large enough to be filled by a glass shop - who will drill it out first and make an even bigger area. I've wondered about a small dab of clear paint and then razor blading it flat but I doubt it will work. You can try a glass shop and see what they say but most likely any attempt to hide it will only make it more obvious.

1) Trunklid deck panel shiny black plastic - Get a ceramic coating done for that piece.
2) Try this for windshield - https://www.walmart.com/ip/Rain-X-W...AND-CRACKS-QUICKLY-AND-EASILY-600001/34163599

Thanks, lots of great suggestions. Here's a pic of the windshield - it is a little bigger than a dot you'd make with a pencil

I don't think chip/crack repair kits will do much for a small pit like that - but maybe someone will tell me I'm wrong. It could be that a touch of the resin on the pit (like touching up a tiny paint chip with clear) might take the white appearance out of it and hide it.
