:headbonk:sounds great but why so serious:headbonk:
Unfortunately this is an all to common expression for myself while out on the road with the mustang since being hit by a texting driver in my prior car and the overly aggressive behavior of other drivers.:headbonk:
I didn't realize at the time! I think it was because some guy was trying to cut me off and pass from the other (non turn) lane, so I was basically like "oh no you don't!"
The video doesn't capture the volume at WOT or the depth of tone, as most mics don't.
In general I do practice defensive driving and have not had a fender bender in 16 years of driving. In that video, I wanted to get onto the on-ramp (with a wall on the driver's side so I could hear that glorious note) first.Unfortunately this is an all to common expression for myself while out on the road with the mustang since being hit by a texting driver in my prior car and the overly aggressive behavior of other drivers.
Being retired l can limit some exposure to this by getting out to do what l need to do during non peak traffic times of day.....but it goes without saying, always need to be on the defensive.
So l do have to say that sounds very similar to my Corsa Touring but only louder. Looking forward to your follow-on video.

I agree! It has a deep bark if you WOT short shift, but then screams when you let it rev out. Most people tend to think the Corsa's are really high pitched, but I would actually say they are pretty deep and the key difference is the tone is so much crisper and clearer. I also can't believe how ridiculously quiet it is in the cabin when you're cruising/driving slowly. Can't beat that! The tone of this system seems to fall in the "mid range" between the (higher) x-pipe and (lower) tone of a true h-pipe which is what l like and consider to be the sweet spot, at least for myself.
I love the sound and would consider this a keeper if l owned it, great job.![]()
At WOT with the windows down its similar in volume to the S-type. It's a little higher pitched, not a ton though, but a cleaner sound. I do really like the S-type too. Very aggressive sound. This has a lot less volume inside the car with the windows up.Sounds really good from interior!! How does it compare to borla s-type catback? Especially at wot?
Sounds like the sport catback is exactly what you want. I added the x pipe to the touring mufflers over the summer and it is the perfect level of volume for a DD and zero drone at any speed or RPM. You could probably still find a great deal on it from one of the vendors here.Still liking your Corsa? Would you do it again?
I'm going a similar direction, but Corsa touring axleback with my existing H-pipe. I'm still on the fence if I should just buy the full Corsa sport catback and swap out my H-pipe. I'm don't know if it makes any difference, but I know they use 3" pipe.
I want a deep rumble, no drone, louder than my H-pipe with factory mufflers, but not as loud and raspy as an Extreme. Tough to hit this just right!
