Installed and couldn't be happier.
No, swapped with the factory resonator. I did try it with the X-pipe first, and it is glorious sounding, but sadly, too loud for me. If it weren't for the fact that at medium acceleration it was about as loud as many catbacks are at WOT, I'd have kept it. I daily drive this car, so that was just going to be too much. As a weekend/fun car only, you bet I'd have kept it.You've still got the X-pipe installed?
You ever heard a GT350 with long tubes? :hail::eyebulge:No, swapped with the factory resonator. I did try it with the X-pipe first, and it is glorious sounding, but sadly, too loud for me. I've driven a GT350 and I might honestly say it sounded better than that car in it's Sport exhaust mode (:eyebulge::gossip....and I adore the GT350. The Corsa Xtreme/Sport AB + X-pipe is probably similar volume to or louder than the R.
For me, the Sport AB and resonator is a perfect DD exhaust. It increases in volume directly proportional to throttle, so it's quiet when you want, and loud when you want. I didn't understand what no drone was until I put this on. None.
Nope but I bet it's crazy!! The stock car sounds amazing and is one of very few vehicles that doesn't need an aftermarket exhaust to sound great. That said, Corsa Xtreme on the 5.0 is right there, maybe better. You ever heard a GT350 with long tubes? :hail::eyebulge:
Nothing yet. I had a feeling hacking would be called for. I guess ill need a full system. I dont want any hacking. Maybe ill just get the sport catback to mate to jpc's manifolds. Less rasp on that system. It would probably be a very close if not just right fit to the FRPP & Borla mid pipes, but you'd have to cut ahead of where they connect to their axlebacks. Either way you're cutting unless you get the full corsa catback. What do you have now?
That'd be a good choice.Nothing yet. I had a feeling hacking would be called for. I guess ill need a full system. I dont want any hacking. Maybe ill just get the sport catback to mate to jpc's manifolds. Less rasp on that system.
It still has the exotic sound, just a deeper version. It crossed my mind after seeing those Sport AB's offered in the classified's about running them with the stock resonator, you would likely loose that "exotic" sound that using an x-pipe would give but l thought might be an interesting combo. Kinda be like a Corsa Touring on steroids.
I'm not a fan of the open exhaust mode with stock headers it's crackly as heck kinda like a farm truck but long tube headers with stock exhaust is amazing on them.Nope but I bet it's crazy!! I have a couple low quality (cell phone mic) videos, and will get a good driving one today:we want a video!
