Corsa Sport axleback?

Anyone have this? I've found a grand total of three videos of this with the factory resonator. I have a potentially extremely good deal on one but I absolutely know it'll be too loud for me with my X pipe (basically will be an Xtreme). I'm looking for info on tone and volume compared to other popular options. It seems to be a tad deeper than the Sport catback and more muffled at part throttle.

The cat back is not loud at all with the x pipe until you get above 2k or so. Also very quiet at idle and cruise. No regrets on this system. Sounds great at 5k plus for sure.

No doubt on the Sport catback. The Sport axleback has the same mufflers as the Xtreme, so it'll be quite a bit louder if I kept the X pipe I have, too much for me. Just wanting to hear from anyone who has just the axleback section.

I had just the axleback before I added the double-X a few months later. It sounded great, still had the same higher pitch Corsa sound as the full Xtreme, but was just quieter. Which makes sense, cause it's the same muffler lol

Great. Thanks. That's what I've been having trouble assessing, as the stock resonator is also an H-pipe crossover. How would you compare it in volume to say, the FRPP systems, Borla S-type, if you've heard those in person?

I haven't heard those. But I have the Roush axleback now with the stock suitcase, and the Corsa Sport axleback was louder at WOT than the Roush.

If you want a nice deep yet still a little raspy sound with no drone, I'd definitely recommend the Roush AB. The Corsa was too high pitched for me, and way too loud when I went to the full Xtreme.

I love the high pitched sound. The JBA AB I have now is very similar in tone to the Magnaflow Street, but a little louder. It's a very smooth and deep AB, but not as aggressive or exotic as I'd like, and very boomy inside the car below 2500-3000 rpm, no matter how you drive. Cruising drone was gone after the first 100 miles or so, but it still has a deep presence under acceleration that's more than I want. That resonance is a lot worse when it's cold, so I worry about being really annoyed by that during the winter.

My only other experience driving something else in a S550 is a Borla S-type catback, which is louder than my current setup (not too loud, but close), and retains depth while adding aggressiveness and rasp. It also has no boomy presence in the car at all, and like all Borla stuff, no drone. I'm sure the Corsa would fit the bill for me very nicely, just a little concerned on the volume.

Sport axle back is close in sound level as the sport catback but the catback being a tad deeper in tone. I prefer the catbacks as you don't have to hack up the stock catback just in case you "demod"

We've tested all Corsa options. Sport catback was my personal favorite.

Thanks! By lunch time I'll know what the craziness of the Xtreme is like. Resonator will tame it to loud but acceptable levels.
