Khyber I'm struggling with my frpp sport right now trying to get the right mix of aggressive and loud but not too loud. Did you ever try the resonator with the frpp or the corsa ? The tone your speaking about is kind of going away now that I've logged 200 miles on the frpp but still I don't like the crackling it makes in hard acceleration like your video here. I'm thinking the borla resonator with either this or the frpp sport will be the right mix for my taste. But dam that sounds badass !

Alot of yall asked me for videos so here is one.

My dad drove it around for me to hear for the first time and SWEET MOTHER OF GOD IT SOUNDS SO Good. It is loud. Probably almost twice as loud as the FRPP sport. Yeah you guys with headers and corsa extreme are nuts! This thing sounds ridiculously sexy.

This is just recorded with my phone but I think hearing it echo off the school and trees helps people realize how loud it is compared to other videos I've seen. Enjoy!

Khyber, first off. I love your freakin set up! Great minds think a like I guess (or have the best taste in colors). I currently have my X pipe sitting in my trunk eagerly awaiting installation l, currently set for Tuesday morning. Like every other S550 owner I have literally been going nuts researching and watching videos on exhausts, changing decisions, and flipping back and forth between different systems! After hours and hours of 4m reading, YouTube, a couple bottles of visine, and ultimately my depressingly tight budget constraints due to planning a wedding, I have made the decision to go with the Roush Axles to go with my X pipe. I they sound anything like your pony in this vid I know it is what I want...(continued after next quote)...

Wow man, that sounds freaking awesome! To be quite honest, it sounds REALLY close to the Roush/X-pipe setup. That is what I have and to me, they sound very similar. Can be totally docile when you want, and scream to high heaven when you want. Best of both worlds. Congrats man!

My question for you and Franklin is having heard both, how would you compare the roush w/X to your Corsa set up here ?? How does tone compare? Throatiness? Rasp? Notes (high/low)? Poppiness? Everything I've read has said the overall volume level is extremely close on these two, and I am great with that.

I currently messaging a guy on Facebook selling his Roush axles back for a pretty good price, less than the 490 hyper can offer for a new one. I just want to make sure before I pull the trigger and wind up in the dog house with the lady for a a couple weeks that this is the right set up for me, and I shouldn't wait another 14 months till after the wedding to get the Borlas I originally considered.

It does sound great. Like Franklin said, it sounds really, really close to the xpipe/Roush AB.

Todd, any input ? I have yet to hear either of these in person.

Sorry for long winded reply. Any and all help is greatly appreciated, and if anyone can recommend a place/person I can contact to try and get my Roush set up for under $400, do not hesitate to PM me !!!

Khyber here's a pic brother. 20% since week two. Oem black extractors (also have CO extractors for sale).

Looks and sounds great. Off topic, but which lowering springs are you running?

never tried anything like that. I love the crackling! Corsa does it even more but I got rid of the frpp sport because it wasn't loud enough so never tried any resonator or anything.

Dam that is definitely not a neighbor friendly exhaust setup. Sounds amazing but too much for me. I love the quad tips too

I have the same exhaust and installed it yesterday. Cold start ups it's freakin loud. After a 10-20 secs it gets quieter. I love how it's quiet idling at a red light and cruising 60-70 mph. Put your foot into it and it is very loud. Best of both worlds.

This! Easy on the throttle and it is not obnoxious at all.
