I been shifting gear with barely any clutch paddle use. I only press the clutch paddle all the way when shifting to 1st all other gears only like 2 inch paddle down. Is this Ok to do?
And also when parked is it Ok to leave car in gear?
Thanks

I think you have a different transmission than the MT-82 in the vanilla Mustangs right? With those, Ford recommends fully depressing the clutch pedal.

My GT has pretty high engagement point so no need to depress the clutch all the way. In fact, as long as you depress pass disengagement point you can shift.
Park in gear is always recommended, use handbrake on steep hills in addition to parking in gear.

I always fully depress the clutch in my GT350. That clutch is so easy to work compare to any other vehicle, there just isn't any reason not to. Especially since it seems to depress easier and easier the further down you go.

When parked, yes. Always put it in 1st and use the handbrake. I had one car where the manual said to put it in reverse and engage the handbreak, but that was a GM car so they are just backwards, right? :) j/k

Point is, be nice to your car and it will be nice to you.

Good question. The engagement point on my clutch is pretty much at the top of the pedal travel range. I generally depress the pedal all the way to the floor, but if I was trying to shift quickly I don't think I'd need to? If I depress the clutch a few inches the clutch seems to be disengaged. I had assumed the engagement point was set at the top of the travel range purposefully, to allow for rapid shifts. Incorrect?

From the '15-'16 Supplement:
Note: During each shift, the clutch pedal must be fully pressed to the floor and the accelerator fully released. Failure to follow this may cause increased shift efforts, prematurely wear transmission components, or cause gear clash or damage to the transmission. Make sure the floor mat is properly positioned so it does not interfere with the full extension of the clutch pedal.

Ford even has a video you can find on YouTube, which talks about this subject.
