As much as i feel cooled/heated seats are unnecessary, which is why i don’t have them, i got out the car just now after a good hour and a half drive - country roads, windows down - was rather sweaty lol

I find the cooled seats are like sitting on a wet sponge.
Prefer it if they cooled your back
They are supposed to, they just don't work very well due to poor design. There was a thread on this ages ago I think.

Basically, the seat cooler / heater is a peltier device (thermoelectric effect) so produces warm and cold air at the same time. The cooling / heating effect is enhanced by a fan that is supposed to vent the air, but it vents it into the seat back, making the cooling ineffective

Ford had a TSB out for it on 2015/6 cars I believe - no idea whether it's been amended for 2017 onwards but if I was a betting man...
Someone did a DIY fix but to be honest I think it's OK - they do work much better with the aircon on as well (just that the intake air is a lower temperature, the two systems aren't connected)

I don't find the cooled seats particularly effective and don't really see the need for heated seats.
Top down on a frosty morning they are brilliant. And for when you’re old and your back hurts. :)

I ordered the heated/cooled seats but car came without. I bought a goat skin rug & press stud it to the headrest posts so I avoid the cold or hot leather for £35 saving £800+ cost of option & a free service in compensation.

The day I need a goat skin rug for a car seat will be the day I realise Im too old for a performance car!
