Ordered my Vert 9/2/2015, Base V6 A/T with 051A Package, Spare Tire, and Spoiler Delete. Ford Customer Service checked my VIN#. Tentative scheduled for build between 1/9/2015 and 1/15/2015. So much for a build date in early Dec. Nice, huh?

Got an update from Rachel that my Base V6 Convertible is scheduled for a late Nov or early Dec build with EDD around 1/9/2015. Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays probably the cause for the possible delay in Transit. Still hoping for a late Dec arrival.

Got a reply from Rachel this morning, our Gt Ruby Red 50th anniversary convertible was scheduled yesterday. So excited for the news. She said at this time it looks like a mid December build. Thanks again Rachel. My Wife is going to make a big red Bow hoping we get for Christmas to tuck away for the winter.

Yup, Rachel rocks! I got my VIN and tentative scheduled Mid December build. No Christmas love for me but I can (try to) be patient. Too bad Cotus doesn't work for Verts so I can sit and refresh a webpage 600 times a day

Finally got my VIN today for GT Premium Vert Comp Orange MT. Looks like a build date of early January. Ordered 9/4. Had hoped for a Christmas present but can wait another month or so.

This is my first time ordering a car. What is the first step or documentation I should get from my dealer? I just have a printout of the estimated price and put down a deposit today, so I know the order isn't actually in the system until I get that old school printout from Ford's ordering system...what is that called so I know what to tell the dealer to give me? When should I expect to get a VIN and be able to track on COTUS?

You will get an order number. Along with that and the dealer number (which is on that order print out) you can ask Rachel (FordService) to look up your order status. VINs seem to be given out on Thursdays/Fridays along with estimated build dates. I ordered mine Monday 11/10 and received VIN and estimated build date of Mid December yesterday/today. Cool thanks for the info! Hope to get my VIN next week then...so what is up with them not tracking in COTUS? Have something to do with OKTB not achieved or something? :clap2:

Hahahaha who knows? COTUS is a beta site so that has something to do with it.
