Considering Wrapping

Just curious if anyone has any experience with wrapping your car. I'd like to protect my upcoming 350 as much as possible. If I were to wrap would it protect from small pebbles and other panel dingers? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Those would be a great choice for rock chips and road debris. I've done it on previous cars. A few notes from my experience:

1. Some places use precut sheets that have already been cut for the specific car. I find these don't lay quite perfectly and the edges almost always start peeling since they don't wrap around the entire body panel.

2. Most good places will custom cut a sheet of film for each panel, takes the most time and obviously, much more expensive.

3. Most brands are "self healing" But i've witness chips in the film lift and bubble over time.

4. The film does get swirl marks over time after repeated cleaning. Unlike your car itself, it can't be polished out.

I've seen the super OCD people put coatings on top of the paint protection film. Stuff gets crazy beyond that point lol

Yes it does. He was polishing the clear bra on a 1.5+ million dollar car.

I was going to have protective film solutions in Cali do it. They're the same people that wrap jay Leno's cars and they have a 10 year warranty. Now what that warranty entails o have no clue but they also can do the windshield which is pretty nice.

there is a place in Edmond,ok which does high-end vehicles with the same product that the shop in CA uses and was recommended by the Expel district manager.
