I did but the second part does still apply. Was it the sound that made him think he went faster? :)

Stang77 I see your in NJ. I'm in Jersey too and bought my mustang at Haldeman on US1 near Hamilton. When I went to trade in my brand new mustang with 700mi on it the trade in value vs what they wanted me to put down and finance for the new mustang was frickin stupid ridiculous. It was basically saying... here retard... heres exactly 2 years worth of depreciation on your Mustang now sell it to us dirt cheap and finance this car rolling all that negative equity into it and overpay... I couldn't bring myself to do it.

I decided to wait a year or 2 and drive what I have and enjoy it.. Keep it clean and low miles If I can. In 2 years I would have almost paid it off and it would still have a lot of value. At that point I could trade it for a nice GT350 or something.

what did you expect them to do? You're bringing them a used car (not very used, but used none-theless, they cant sell it as new) You were upside down in the vehicle, and they don't get paid to give away cars.

Its a business. How long would a business be open if they gave everything away? The dealership should pay because YOU decided you don't like the car?

yeah i find it hard to believe that some guys that trade up only ended up costing very little, like 1k, but it happens.

I wasn't upside in the loan. I hadn't even made my first PAYMENT yet. I dropped 6k on the loan to where my amount owed was in the low teens. Its just that on the trade in the the value they gave me on the car was crazy. I think they were crooks after seeing some ppl traded up and only lost 1 or 2 K which I was prepared to pay as downpayment on the new car but it was a ridiculous loss that they quoted me. I never tried another dealer because I felt the 6K i left wouldn't even be considered during the dealng and for that reason I walked.

I know the dealer will always profit but in my case i felt the dealer got greedy and tried to take advantage of my buyers remorse.

oh I apologize I misread your post.

If that dealership was being 'money hungry', I'd just shop around dealers. Remember you're the one spending the money so ultimately you hold all the cards. Dealers are a business, but that doesn't mean they can't be worked over. :D

And I just recently discovered Koons ford, I bet they'd work a deal for you.

No mistaking the sound and power of the V8 ( I don't bash other engines like some people on this forum do.) Don't get me wrong I like my Ecoboost engine. The tune really woke the car up. I was just impressed when I drove my friend's GT.

Oh yeah.. man... I wish I had found Koons before dude. I'd probably be in a GT premium that hovers.... The only thing I'm afraid of with Koons is that the trade value would still be reaaaaaaaaaly low.... I'm tempted though lol!

The drive to Koons would probably be about 3 hours I think.

There's nothing wrong with a base GT. One click of the traction control and you're off and spinning, hold down for 5 seconds and everything is fully defeated. I think the rear valances look cleaner too.

I'm considering a base GT. I would just have to add SAT radio and navigation aftermarket. Kind of dumb that SAT radio is not standard across the board.

that's one of the main reasons i got a base GTPP instead of premium. back in the day i always needed the NAV and satellite radios, but i realized 2 years ago that there are better things available than what an in dash nav and satellite radio offers.

once i started using google maps, and then waze on my phone, i realized that in dash navs are obsolete. i ran them together during a road trip to baltimore from long island and the routes waze provided were constantly 45 mins to an hour quicker.

i realized at that point that in car nav is useless and is no longer on my list of requirements. my wife's next car won't have it either when i turn her lease in. she uses waze now as well.

btw the audio quality over bluetooth from your phone using Spotify/Pandora sounds at least 2x better than Sirius, and that's why i canceled my Sirius subscription as well. not to mention the selection of songs and playlists are a lot more robust than the Sirius channels.

i know that this is not really an option for you since you don't have unlimited data, but even with my heavy daily waze/spotify usage, the most data i've consumed in 1 month is 5gb. and i use my phone a lot, even while not commuting...

I got the premium due to the screen and extra features. I did not include Nav, but with SYNC 3, I hope to have apps on it to take the Nav's place eventually.

actually i was wrong. it's my wife that uses more data than i do, she's the blue usage on this graph. as you can see even with heavy data usage on my daily 2.5 hour commute using waze/spotify, i'm still well under 4 gig consumption per month.

i guess my wife's constant facebook browsing and whatever else she does on that thing uses more data. i dunno though because i'm a pretty heavy facebook user as well.

once auto manufacturers start offering apple carplay, i think that would be totally worth the upgrade. i hope it happens soon, but i'm not so sure because the manufacturers are trying to block them, so they can sell more expensive nav units.
