Hi all,

Yesterday I picked up a set of wheels for my Mustang. They are the MRR 600 wheels.

Specs are as follows;
Front 19x11 +35mm offset
Rear 19x11.5 +50mm offset

I want to run 295/30/19 up front & 325/30/19 in the rear.

My concern is that these tires will be exactly an inch in diameter smaller than the factory sizes (PP1 car 255/40/19 & 275/40/19).

Will this cause any issues? Currently my car is stock but I plan to lower it soon with Steeda minimum drop springs. The car is also equipped with Magneride.

I don't want any rubbing either.

Thoughts on this setup?

The 255 is way too small for an 11" wide wheel. 11" wide in the front also seems kinda wide especially if you don't want any rubbing?

I'm planning on running 295/30/19 up front.

295/30 is very short, 305/30 is short too but, but its what you gotta do to run most 305s (few /35s). I dont think I’ve ever actually seen a mustang on tires as short as a 295/30. 305/30 looks fine on a car lowered 1/2-3/4”.

There isnt much wrong with the short tires except some fender gap. The car wont care much.

I have a little concern the width of the 295/30 on an 11 ET 35 - it may rub the strut. ET26 is a more normal front offset for an 11” wheel, and you’d need camber plates to tuck it under the fender. The 35 helps with the fender but at the expense of inside clearance.

Be prepared for needing a small spacer and your front fender liner may wear on the inside front at full lock. It might work, depends on the specific tire and some other details about how you’re alignment (esp camber) is set up.

If you already bought the wheels its kinda late to be second guessing the tire fitment. People need to figure out the tire situation /before/ they commit and buy the wheels. A 10mm spacer isnt common, its too small for bolt ons and an awkward size for slip ons.

Worst case, I believe you can make the 295/30 fit with a combination of crash bolts and camber plates, and a thin 5mm spacer (or less), but it still may or may not look odd.

I appreciate the advice. I'm not overly concerned about the wheels, I only paid $350 and I feel like id have no problem getting that back if I resold them.

I'm open to other sizes that may be a better fit no pun intended.

285/35 and 305/35 with 10” ET 35 and 11”ET52 wheels
305/30 square with 11 ET 26 and 11 ET 52 wheels (and camber plates up front)

Both of those are common setups and larger front tires than the 295/30.

Depending on how much you’re lowering it and what your goals are you may be satisfied with the 295/30.

I'd rather not have to run camber plates so maybe I'll stick to 285/35 & 305/35

Yeah thats a good setup. Only a few tires in that size, so shop those next. MPSS I think. Maybe a couple more.

Slim pickings in those sizes Nitto NT555 seems like a decent tire for the money.

I think you will be ok with the 325x30x19 tires on the 11.5x19 +50mm wheels on the rear. I have 325x30x19(Conti DWs 02s, they have more rounded edges) on 11x19 +50mm wheels on the rear of '17 vert with stock suspension(non pp) and they are perfect to me. They fit flush. As far as what you are thinking for the front, im not sure. I have 10x19 +35mm wheels with a 5mm spacer on the front with 285x35x19 tires(Conti DW02s, they have more rounded edges) and they fit great, no rubbing and fit flush. The tires are close to the front of the front wheel wells when turned to full lock, but they dont rub. You may be able to get away with running the Conti DW02s 295x35x19 tires up front with the 11x19 +35mm wheels, but im not sure. The 295s will be close to the height of the 255x40x19 tires. The 295x35x19 tires are 2/10ths taller and also 7/10ths wider than the 255x40x19 tires.

555G2? Its kinda horrible. Its cheap. Trash, but cheap.

Keep looking, unless you dont like grip and love the rear end leaving the lane anytime you think about the gas pedal.
