Seriously, $45K car with all the options... premium... 401a and when I double click my door locks or leave my car while running.... The horn honks at me. This is fine on my $5K 2004 Honda Civic LX which does the same thing but every other car over 25K has at least a nice electronic beep instead of the horn. I friggen HATE that. The good thing is that this is my only real complaint so far about my Mustang. Seriously, this would probably costs Ford $25 to do.

it's a security feature.... if you leave with your key, it beeps. Leave the key in the car if you don't want it to beep.

Next time your Stang honks at you, all 5 of you nay-sayers will be thinking the same thing now that I brought it up (psychological warfare). You'll think "ya, Ford could have spent $25 on that).

Same thing with the bright/mirror trim in the dash and console area, next time the sun is out and you look down with the sun glaring in your eyes, you'll remember this (its worse for those of us with Verts)

Lmfao. Will never understand how people can complain for nothing. I actually like the honk. If the honk bothers then lock, turn off, or leave the spare key in the car.

horn exists because there were oblivious owners of start pushbutton cars who left the car running in their garage and CO poisoned their house.
