You're good to go with any of the coilovers on a 5.0 PP or non-PP like Impulsed said.

In general, you want to make sure you're (aftermarket) wheels/rims aren't so wide that they will hit the strut/shock body. That's something you'll have to confirm with the manufacturer you choose. I believe aFe and RideTech have said their coilovers clear wide wheels/rims, but I recommend anyone running wide wheels/rims to double check before purchasing.
The plan is to get Vossen CVTs with 255/35/20 in front and 285/30/20 in the back.

I'll eventually be running 275 or 285/40/19 square and I'll still double check with whoever I go with to make sure the strut/shock bodies clear.

Paul from Need4SpeedMotors is very helpful. Hit him up and he'll answer any question you have about wheels.

I don't know enough about the ST's to order them. I'm told they are very similar to the KWs but they don't look the same, at least the springs don't. I'm a noob when it comes to coilovers. Never owned them. All I want is to be able to lower my GT and keep a comfortable ride.

We'll be carrying them and getting them shortly. Honestly, I've personally seen these being built in the KW factory over in Germany. Very good quality.

What justifies the price difference between the KW V1 and ST?

Galvanized steel vs stainless steel, lifetime warranty vs 5 year warranty.

Thanks for reminding me. I'll be sure to run my coilover set-up by him...I bought my wheels from him and will purchase my tires from him.

I'm going with these:
Cortex Racing Xtreme-Grip JRi Double Adjustable Coilovers (MSRP is 4895.00), Available Now:
http://cortexracing.com/product/cort...-mustang-s550/

Cuz:
1. They seem to be the only ones with an offset strut that allows an 11" rim to fit in properly up front, I'm going 305/30-19 on a 4 corners
2. Double adjustable allows track duty and street duty
3. JRi shocks seem to have a good reputation

This thread will serve as final confirmation for me before I go and pull the trigger

Nice choice! The most expensive Coilover out right now for the S550...well justified because JRi has a great reputation. It certainly looks to be a superb piece of kit.

Please do a review for us once you've made the purchase and hit the streets/track!

Their not the only ones whose coilovers are capable of running an 11 inch front tire ;)

We were able to run a 11.375" tire in the front, and 12.5" tire in the rear with out modifications and problems.

An 11.375" tire is not the same as an 11" rim. What was the metric tire size you guys fit?

The Cortex Racing coilovers with the offset strut option will fit a 315 in the front. Would be great to have other alternatives that can fit the same size.
