Note on the KWv1-3. The damper is a quality product, especially their DAs (v3). However, they use proprietary spring rates (won't reveal). The front spring design is a combo of a standard 2.5" C/O spring at the bottom perch and the stock diameter spring at the top. Thus, no conventional C/O spring will work without some form of a top hat. Moreover, stock replacement spring won't work because most at more than 3" at the bottom and won't work with KWs bottom perch witout some mods.
The rear spring uses an adjustable mount between the factory LCA and chassis side. While I don't have a problem with this as opposed to "true" C/Os, the spring is also proprietary and cannot use a standard C/O or convention spring without mods.
So, with the KWvs you don't know the rates and can't change springs without mods to the mounting design. However, if you move up to their Club Sport series, you get more spring options. Ohlins has just released what looks to be the standard of the industry for a mid-priced DA damper and C/O kit for the s550.
