That's a good idea. That spring rate would be low enough to not have to change struts I would think. I saw the minimum drop springs in person and they look great. Perfect for a daily driver.
Wait..so is changing shocks and struts mandatory with a certain drop on these cars? Or are you just talking for the best ride?

They are 35s

They came with the rims and I don't have the money for new tires yet. LOL

You need to match the dampers to the springs:

GT: 160
GT PP: 165
BMR min drop: 170
Steeda min drop: 200

If you end up with the dampers under matched to the spring you'll have a little bounciness. If your not changing dampers BMR may be a better choice for you. However if you can spare the coin, Steeda springs and struts would really wake up the handling and ride really well.

With the labor/install time of springs/struts being more intensive along with the cost of an alignment your better off to get the front suspension right the first time.

I am staring down the barrel of my 3rd attempt to get it perfect. lol

This. If you want your car to look good and have a great ride then you might as well spend the money and get the Steeda non-adjustable proaction dampers as well as the Steeda shock mounts. I can't stress the shock mounts enough. They really help with ride quality.

Also, try not to lower the front too much more than the rear as this will screw with the front to back balance. As in don't lower the front an inch and leave the rear stock.

I'm not trying to just get you to empty your wallet but for less than $1000 you can have looks as well as outstanding ride quality and handling. Just do it right the first time. Give Steeda a call.

Thank you for the feedback.

And you are correct, thousands of S550 owners are enjoying our "Performance" line of springs with their stock dampers (non PP and PP)

If you're on a tight budget and can't upgrade dampers then I know the BMR springs are a good option.

Don't leave us hanging - what position? What's he got going for him, scholarships or scouts?

Baseball has been changing since most of has left the game ... unfortunately, the amount of time & money that needs to be invested is incredible. Travel teams, showcases, tournament teams - back when I played, it was High School, Summer Ball & colleges found you.

Love to hear more!

Mostly shortstop/second base and pitcher, but he knows and can play every spot but catcher. A few college coaches that have seen him play or workout have all shown interest, but right now he is a little undersized to be sought after at his age(sophomore). The bench, rack, and weights to solve that issue just arrived today.:)

Still same story, travel teams and high school ball...finally found a good school team to hopefully settle on....travel side is still a little iffy..was on one of the better teams in the state, but the different high school coaches pulled the players in different directions and the team dissolved...on another good team now but you just never know what will happen next with travel ball. LOL......plan is to hit the college visits hard next fall and get some real interest going.

Awesome - don't be afraid of Junior Colleges either - good schools & opportunities to get experience under the kids' belt with allowing the credits to transfer.

Also, he plays well there, he can look at getting on a draft board or two ... with 3 years of eligibility left.

Looks like he is on the right track - love to hear it!
