Code C1001:97; have tried everything

Hey fellas, for a while now whenever I try to use ACC, the adaptive cruise control disabled sensor blocked/obstruction, it is coming from the image processing module a which is the camera module on the windshield, I’ve cleaned it, removed the ACC behind the bumper, physically re aligned and recalibrated it, worked decent for a day then the sensor blocked message came back again, I’ve cleaned the glass, module itself, behind the bumper portion that’s right in front the ACC radar, inside and outside. The glass where the camera etc. I’ve cleared codes, tried enabling it, sensor comes up, confirms the same present code keeps returning, need help please,

With how a ton of these vision systems work on vehicles these days, I won't be surprised to see if the lens (and hopefully not the sensor) is smudged with something that it can see, and not our human vision.

Had issues like this all the time when I was in aerospace, and one or two wipes with that stuff always fixed it up. Use it on both the interior + exterior of the windshield, as well as on the camera itself.

Otherwise, my only other guess is to check the harnesses, and/or replace the unit all together.

Here's what I'd do:

Clean a large area around the camera's entire field of view, both:

• outside of windshield
• inside of windshield

Use a clean optical-grade microfiber, then inspect the glass under strong angled light. You're looking for streaks/haze, not just debris.

Put the cleaner onto the a microfiber towel, then wipe the camera lens, don't apply it directly. While you're at it, send over an image of the camera lens from an angle if you can. I'm curious if there might be anything in/on it.

Then DON'T recalibrate. I kind of want to see if recalibrating temporarily fixes the problem, vs. the cleaning. After cleaning, put it all back together, and send it.

Also, after all that, the IPMA and the ACC radar aren't isolated systems. I'd still inspect the radar harnessing carefully as well.
