Amen to that!

Just pointing out the Mustanf typically reads lower than other brands, due to its ability to provide variable load. This, also makes it a better calibration tool, IMO.
That also makes them read whatever the dyno operator wants it to read.

It's not user definable. The dyno controls this based off of the drag coefficient and wheel size. If the inputs are correct, this dyno is more accurate. When representing actual load.

Correct but if they input incorrect data they can read very low or very high depending.

Well yeah, but it's nearly idiot proof.

You can manipulate any dyno.

I'm just letting you know because people come in here with basic mods which should be able to narrow down rwhp, ex. Intake headers and 93 tune on a m6 car. Basically a 425whp car give or take a couple either way and they say well I put down 440 on a mustang dyno so I should be 460 easily on a dynojet. Smh, common get real.

I'm not getting caught up in dyno numbers. I provided a comparison of what the car made on our new dyno vs our old one, and did the calculation for what it should read on a dyno jet. Think of it what you will, but you won't see me getting pumped until there's a ten second slip in my hand. Which, after driving it, I'm 100% positive will happen shortly. This car is so much faster than it was FBO w/ a CJ.

Never seen a mustang dyno put out glory numbers like a dynojet, they are always lower, every single time even if you manipulate it. In fact most shops with mustang dynos make them stingy and heart breaking on purpose. And yes 490x1.13=553.7 that's being modest, with race gas 570 seems very doable, thanks for sharing @pinero6, insane NA build!

Yeah, our shop truck (92 ext cab C/K 1500, LQ9 single turbo) runs 10.30's on low boost (1.8 60'), and only made 685 on that same dyno. The heart break is real, lol.

At the end of the day, only the time slip matters.

Dyno #'s are a guide , its like benchmarking Pc's it shows you a number but the real facts are in the actual performance!!! So yes time slips are the real deal!

Got her home then I went to back to work. it rained the whole time i was driving. The car is much louder, I couldn't get on it of course but i can tell she wants to rock and roll.. it will be dry tomorrow and i'm gonna get my nt05r's mounted this weekend....No surges or any kind of anomalies.....Jpc did a top notch job and worked extremly hard to get this set up dialed in.....

We're dialing in a few throttle quirks, but she's otherwise good to go on pump gas. I've been driving it back and forth for the past few days, and its running exceptionally well. Slightly lazy under 3k (feels near stock), but comes alive at four and punches you in the face shortly after. It actually worked out very well, since it's docile and easy to drive under 5k. Makes for very nice street manners, and power is always a down shift away. 40 rolls are insane.

Glad to hear yours is ready to go. Looking forward to seeing it in action.

Car is running great have yet to get to te track being that it is off season. She's plenty fast, working on revised shift points while in (d) mode also want firmer shifts, think i will just schedule a day when i can bring it in rather then go back and forth through email!
