Ok so I have been an SCT user since day one, using unleashed and Bama tunes. I finally sold my tuner and I have the Accessport on its way now. I will eventually go with Adam at tune plus. Until then, I got it from one of the forum members and it's unmarried. When I get it, is it good to go for loading the off the shelf tune? Also is there any way on the device itself to make sure I got the right one? Adam did give me a specific part number before I bought. Thanks guys and any positive things anyone that has the Cobb running Adams tune can talk about, would love to hear. I guess more specifically people that switched from SCT to Cobb. Thanks!!!

You can use OTS tunes. Auto car to auto car or manual car to manual car it should be good to go.

What you need to make sure of is that the tune you have is for your specific transmission. Do you have an automatic or a stick? Did the person you purchased the AP from have the same transmission? If not then what you can do is go onto Cobb's website, download the Accessport Manager onto your home computer or laptop. And you can download the appropriate tune for your transmission off their website via the AP manager. Then Hook the AP up to your computer, load it on there and subsequently load the tune to your car. If the person had the same transmission as you, then simply plug the AP into your OBD2 port and begin the process of loading the tune and enjoy. I just loaded the Cobb OTS Stage 1 map last week onto my car. The power and torque increase has been nice. My only complaint (I have an automatic) is the transmission tune for normal Drive mode sucks. I'll have that corrected by Adam when that time comes.

If we don't have the same tranny, does it cost money to do what your saying?

I swear you already made a post like this. There is only one Accessport for the Mustang, when you install it on your car all the OTS maps are going to become available for your car, so if you have a 6MT it is going to give you 6MT maps.

If you want feedback from customers running my tune, look at the 10 page long review thread for me ;). Used to be 30+ but the thread was deleted.

I did, but people are giving me different answers, so it's confusing. I did what u told me and ordered the specific one, but now I get a post from someone telling me different. As far as your review page, I'm looking for specific SCT-Cobb converts with what they think after changing, didn't see any on your review page

Imo, if you went from sct to cobb, you were getting your sct tunes from an amateur tooner.

So the OTS map is not transmission specific? I thought they were. I apologize to the OP for the misinformation I provided.

There are plenty that have switched and are in that review thread.

Don't listen to anybody else, you asked me the question I gave you the answer. Nobody else knows what they are talking about if they tell you otherwise.

Yes they are, but it is the same device. When you install the Accessport on your Mustang the Accessport knows what files to make available to you to flash.

I did not know that. Thank you for the clarification. This is why you will be doing all my customs tunes once I get the Levels intercooler on my car.

I'm one of those converts from SCT to Cobb. You will not regret it.
