I have a Ford OEM clutch installed. I hate it. I need something that’s close to OEM. I don’t have 1,000 whp so I don’t need a stage 3 clutch. I have a few bolt-ons. What’s something better than OEM

I want something that doesn’t heat up and stick like the oem clutch does. I hate rev hang. Can a good clutch eliminate that? I don’t beat on my clutch but I like downshifting a lot.

What types of issues are you experiencing with your tranmission? Have you done any mods like shifter bushing insert, transmission mount insert, bg syncroshift 2 fluid swap, full tilt boogie racing transmission / body brace, steeda clutch perch spring?

I have done the shifter/trans inserts. Took out the trans insert because vibration was insane. I haven’t done any synchro fluid swaps or body brace, or clutch springs.

The issue I’m having is vibration coming through my shifter (billet shifter mount/brace), lockout, rev hang (to the point of when I shift into the next gear, it slams it in.)

I love this car but I hate driving it. So much clutch chatter when starting from a stop. I can feel the clutch “spinning” when I push in my pedal, and I feel vibration through my clutch pedal. When I put it into 5th/6th gear @20mph and floor it, no slippage.
I'd highly recommend considering grabbing some channel locks and removing the clutch spring to test out whether or not livability improves. Careful though because it's a tough angle to get to and the spring is under a lot of tension. If it makes the car easier to drive it's worth picking up the Steeda clutch spring. By itself, the clutch pedal has pretty strong feedback / snapback / action and the stock spring makes it even worse.

I removed my spring before ordering the Steeda clutch spring assembly and it improved my shifting quite a bit because the clutch isn't trying to snap back at you and you can really feather the clutch in lower gears for stop & go traffic. I haven't swapped my fluid yet but I'm doing it this week so I can report back but BG Syncroshift 2 or Motul DCTF are universally lauded here and elsewhere - it's worth a shot. Is your car tuned by chance?
