Has anyone take their car to the dealer to have them check the thud/chunk noise?

Don't want to get you upset but your symptom is the same as ALL other PP owners with the torsen... We all experience it and I have yet to get a definitive answer on how to eliminate it...

Once I find my answer I will share with everyone..I have invested a lot into the rear suspension and it still prevails, the only other things I have to try are the MGW and the Aluminum one piece driveshaft.

L8R
One piece driveshaft makes it worse.

According to the Dealer tech the clunk sound that I'm hearing is the syncro ring and is normal and will go away as I put miles on the vehicle.

The vibration between 65-75 was a bad tire, they couldn't balance it and a new one was ordered.

How about when you double clutch?

Sync issue would be when your clutch peddle is pushed in, and you try to shift from 1st->2nd. Clunk when letting the clutch peddle out is something different.
I've tested this, the clunk does not happen when you double clutch. However, I'd love to be able to avoid double clutching all the time. Clunk really starts to get annoying after a while

I have 11k miles on my '16 PP and the clunk is still very much still there.

Nobody ever came up with a way to diminish the clunk at all ? It is quite annoying especially here in Orlando sitting in traffic all the time

Only way to reduce the clunk is to push in the clutch and wait a few seconds before going into gear. Only thing that works for me.

Let me give you a couple scenarios.

1) if at a red light, and i engage the clutch, and very slowly put it in 1st, nothing happens
2) if I'm daydreaming, staring out the window at god knows what, and the light turns green, i engage the clutch, quickly enter 1st (faster than 1st scenario) and i feel/hear the clunk.
3) while under load, mostly double clutching (just to test this out) nothing happens
4) shifting at about 3500 RPMs, it seems the clunk happens in between shifting gears. If you can picture that.

Nothing seems to be affected by this, and i have read multiple threads on this, but it seems differently than other cases

I can take it to the dealer, but have the JLT CAI and tune, and really don't feel like taking it off and reinstalling the oem intake. I will if i have to. Just want to know if i should be concerned or not.

Think of what is happening when you are doing nothing. Clutch is engaged so the input shaft is spinning. when you push in the clutch quickly.. it is still spinning hence the clunk when you engage a gear. If you wait several seconds it will slow and the clunk is inaudible or diished or gone before putting it in gear.
